Did you really just say you were gonna win 3 more games this season because you outcoach another squad?

 

IMO, I believe this coaching staff can win two or more games by out coaching the opp. It may be by play calling vs the defense. Or by changing up the defense. No doubt any coaching staff must have talent. I believe if this team stays healthy. And if the game is close. I believe this coaching staff will call the right plays at the right time and the players will do what they have to do to win the game. I seen it happen more then once last year. Example: Without names said. It was the game before the LCA playoff game. We were in a fight with the opp. One of our coaches kept telling the off.cord. to run a play. He wouldn't. I think we were behind by a TD. The off cord. finally listened to this coach and run a play he wanted run. It was because he new the def LB and safety were blitzing. They run the play and we ran a 45yd td. And it happened again. we won the game. To me that is out coaching the opp. I believe it happened vs a cross town rival also last year. If Joe Blow coaches we lose all games. I'm not a coach. But have played and been around the game a few years!! So yes I believe because we should be in almost all of our games. This coaching staff will win two or three games by out coaching the opp coaching staff.

The Rams beat West Carter tonight. There were a lot of things done right and a bunch done not so right. The biggest thing I saw was that the Rams played error free football ---> no penalities and only one turn over via INT, (there was a turn over on downs) and if I am not mistaken the O-line did not allow a sack. and the biggest correction needed is tackling tackling and more tackling.

What did they look like tonight did they keep score?

Such a high scoring game after 3 quarters tells me either both teams are loaded on offense, lacking on defense, or a little of both. It's probably a little of both at this point in the season.

 

I expected Raceland to be good offensively. If they manage to give their QB any time at all, then they should put some points on the board this year.

Out of curiousity, how did B.Caudill look? I'm looking forward to watching him play.

Who were the standouts for West? I could not make the game for a few different reasons, though I really wanted to say hello to the Raceland members of the board since there seem to be quite a few. I'll have to catch a Raceland game at some point this season.

Burchett ran the ball really well. He made some good cuts. The O-line did a good job of pass protection. But they didn't open up many holes for the backs. Or maybe it was the backs not hitting the right holes! One or two of our X receivers needs to step it up a little. D backs had lots of problems. But I think some of those mistakes were with freshmen playing. I think a freshmen also intercepted a pass.

Two of our linebackers got lost and missed some tackles. Farley locked in on his reciever to long. Farley ran the ball well when needed and had a nice soft touch on a few passes when on the run. The D-line did a good job of flushing the QB. But that wasn't a good thing sometimes. That kid can run. Got hurt on cut backs and a reverse. Troops need to stay home. Had some missed tackles. But not bad. All in all not a bad game for a young team. We will get better. The effort was there! We needed that game and that win. Bring on BC!!

My take on Brian was, as always he gave 110%. When the game is over he's totaly wasted! But like the rest of the troops. He needs some work. He missed a few tackles. But you can't out hustle that kid. He's all over the field. Couldn't tell you about miss reads or assignments. He's worth coming to watch for sure. No stats on WC. Nice lil QB. Bigger team then I thought they would be.
