The 8 points on 12 shot comment? Regardless, I'm hopeful that this year's selections go well and Kentucky can be competitive and win a game or even two.

Its an honor, but doesn't always means #1 will lead the team.

If the following players are selected, I'd say KY has a very good chance of possibly sweeping the series this year:

 

5'11 Elisha Justice (Shelby Valley)

6'0 Ian Chiles (Ballard)

6'2 Aaron Watts (McCreary Central)

6'3 Ge'Lawn Guyn (Scott Co)

6'4 Keisten Jones (Ballard)

6'4 Chad Jackson (Scott Co)

6'5 Ricardo Johnson (Holmes)

6'5 Josh Sewell (Trinity)

6'5 Donovan Johnson (Shelby Co)

6'7 Donovan Gibbs (Iroquois)

6'8 Elijah Pittman (Holmes)

6'8 Dakotah Euton (Scott Co)

 

That team would have size, quickness, and athleticism but more importantly every one of those players get after it defensively.

 

Just my opinion though. This senior class is absolutely loaded with talent so you could replace any one of those guys with a Vance Hall, Jared Polson, Thomas Jackson, or Shaquille Wilson.

I agree on Watts from McCreary Central, he is one of top 5.

Another player not mentioned above that could possible make the team is Quintrell Morris of Fairdale.

 

I was very impressed with his all around game when I saw him in the King of the Bluegrass.

 

I'd assume Demarko Foster of Newport will also get an invite and could possibly make the team. Very underrated player, IMO.

A lot of trend breakers in there it looks like. How often does two players from one team make the KY team? You have one team placing three players on this year's allstar team. When was the last time Louisville placed four players or more on the KY squad?

I agree. I don't want to openly bash kids on here so I won't, but there is at least one guy I'd take off of your list and replace with one of those 4 at the bottom of your list. Other than that, I think your list is a good one and I hope to make it to the game that is in KY to root for these fellas. Loads of talent playing for us this year. I hope these guys are serious about beating Indiana. I'll be surprised if your lineup prediction isn't 100% accurate or very close to it. I'd love to watch the tryouts.

Yes he is. I was impressed with him from the one game I saw him play at Rupp.

I think the lineup depends on how many players the coaches want at each position. I see a lot of guys that will likely or should be 2 guards in this game that played multiple positions for their high school team. Looking at the possible players and trying to figure out who should be playing where is where it gets murky for me.

There is a lot of talent this year to choose from. I hope that that there are (other than Mr. Basketball) no entitlements, and that the players who play the best and work the hardest in tryouts are chosen for the team. If our goal truly is to be at KY's competitive best. If that is not the goal, and this is a way to honor those that had the best season, then so be it.

Just reading through the post and I would be really surprised if J. Polson is not on the final squad.
