Masburn or Mercer weren't graduating. I think in a unique situation such as Patterson's where he is set to graduate from the University an exception should be made.

I agree. I know this is only his third season but based on credit hours, he is a senior. Why would he not be honored on senior night?

Patterson is graduating. He is most likely going pro. Let him have his Senior Day. No one will be mad if he decides he likes this Senior Day so much that he wants to come back and have another next year.

So you're saying a player deserves more recognition becuase he's a better player? Haven't Harris and Stevenson given just as much to the university?

In my opinion, no. I would have a problem with Wall or Boogie walking though so I guess there is a line to draw somewhere.

Patterson IS a senior according to the University of Kentucky. Not by eligiblity standards for sports, but for academics which does come first for a student athlete. I understand why Mash and Mercer were treated differently, but Patterson is a senior and in this case, I think he should be honored.

I am with you. They are not seniors and shouldn't be able to be treated as such. There is a difference.

Is it just because Patterson has procuded more on the court that you feel that way?

Taking away the fact that he actually is a senior, yes that is one reason. He was a major recruit that committed late and lived through the Billy G era, dealt with a major injury, never complained and put his head down and went to work every day. He has meant way more to the program than any of the other three that will be honored tomorrow.

How many kids that are honored on senior day don't graduate? If you're graduating then you are more of a senior than those who don't.

Stevenson and Harris have gone through 3 coaches, have been at every practice as far as I know, and have never complained despite all they've been through. I totally disagree that Patrick deserves it more.

That's fine. We could argue this all day and you won't change my mind. Some players deserve it more than others. JMO.

I know that as soon as I heard Pat was being honored I went out and made sure I had a ticket.

How were you able to get a ticket this late?

I agree with you on that one, I voted no but if they have already graduated- then why not?
