Elisha Justice vs. Josh Sewell for Mr. Basketball

Featured Replies

Just got word that one of UK's asst. coaches contacted SV's coach earlier this week about Justice to UK for next year. They said they will have atleast 6 or 7 scholarships open next year and are interested in getting a few more guards for next year. Brandon Knight is a lock for Ky I believe, but I bet that was an interesting conversation.

UK may be attempting to do to UL what ole Roy and UNC did to UK with Jared Carter.

So Cal is now recruiting an unranked walkon at UL when he landed three 5-stars last year?

So you think we are going to get 6 or 7 5-star recruits from now until May? No, maybe a couple which means he has to fill his roster with other players.

Speaking of Carter, I think everyone knew he couldn't play when UNC and UK were recruiting him. He was a project that didn't work out.

AGAIN, Sewell and Justice have the same type of full ride offers. Did Sewell get a scholarship offer from UL? NO he did not. If he wanted to play for Pitino he would have to be a walkon just like every other senior in this state.

Man it is killing you guys that he is getting a little attention and think he is not even from the 7th region.

EKU, Jacksonville, Morehead, and Marshall I think.

While Army and Navy are academically two of the top schools in the nation, everyone that attends those two schools gets a full scholarship. But once you graduate, you have a five year active duty commitment.

EKU, Jacksonville, Morehead, and Marshall I think.

Morehead and Marshall did not offer scholarships to Justice.

I still laugh at 7th region fans saying IF Justice played in the 7th he would be an average point guard. Then SV picks up J'town on schedule last game of the year, drives all the way to Louisville, Justice drops 31 on them, has J'town down 21 with a couple minutes to play, beats them by 15 (in front of Pitino I might add), and drives back to eastern Ky.

Nothing to brag about, Sewell does that every game, except for the drive.

You need to finish your statement above.....

and drives back to eastern Ky...plays only one game in the district and beats an extremely tough East Ridge team by 50+ points and wins the district championship! Then will play another extremely tough Prestonsburg (6-21) team in the first round of the 15th Region tournament......yada yada yada!

Just about positive they did.

When is Mr. Basketball voted on, before or after the Sweet 16? This will be a major thing to consider when talking about Mr. Basketball. Does anyone know?

Voting takes place after the Sweet 16, which works in Justice's favor -- but can also help Rico Johnson -- and works against Sewell in that a lot of folks outside of the L'ville area will have never had a chance to watch him play.

Morehead and Marshall did not offer scholarships to Justice.

I'm pretty sure they did..........I know it doesn't fit your theory that they did because that would put him playing at the same level of D1 on a full ride that Sewell is going to...................

This just in.....

This year there will be a Mr. Basketball and Mythical Mr. Basketball!:lol::lol::lol:

Interesting. I've always enjoyed my talks with coach Moore (MSU) and coach Finley (Marshall).

Aren't those one and the same?

:laugh::laugh::laugh:

You should ask a Highlands Football fan this question?!! :D:D:D
