Kentucky 78-61. Welcome back to Lexington Darrin.

I'll predict Downey shoots 35+ shots.

If he tries to drive on the Cats like he did in the first game someone will have to pry him from one of the cracks in Rupp's floor. He had better be stopping and falling away with his shot faster than the speed of light.

I think UK wins by 25.

I am not much in to predicting scores for UK games, but what will the Wildcats do differently to slow down Downey? Will Wall guard him more this game rather than Bledsoe? I realize statistically he did not shoot the ball well, but Downey left the lane open for put back opportunities.

LRCW I completely agree w/ your two lines of thinking if that is even a real phrase I didn't just make up. They know what's on tap for Saturday but they remember their only loss. I think they let Downey get his and block everyone else out instead of trying to block every shot. I think and hope they dominate the glass and pound it inside. I hope Wall wants to show who the best PG in the conference is.

I'm putting this in here just for you. I think the line will be around 13. If it's above 16 I love UK if it's around 10 I love South Carolina to keep it close. Reason being the take in Vegas will be one sided.

You two are like a married couple.

You two are like a married couple.

 :notworthy:

You two are like a married couple.

Do you disagree w/ the last part I put?

No.

Exactly. That's why I put it in there. I was pointing out to him why I might change my mind tonight or tomorrow when I see a line.

What am I the marriage counselor for you two or something? :D

I do agree with you.

I think we are going to see a lot of Liggins guarding Downey. His mission is to keep Downey in front of him and make him be a shooter only. No one helps on Downey. Hopefully with his size and quickness, Liggins can cause enough problems to keep Downey's shooting below 40% and prevent the drives to the basket that usually lead to points for South Carolina. When Liggins isn't on him, move Wall over to guard him.

Handle Downey like Rupp did Pistol Pete. Let him get his points on 10 for 35 shooting, plus whatever free throws he gets, and stop everyone else.

The last time we worried too much about Downey and pulled our bigs too far out on defense, which allowed the Gamecocks to kill us with offensive rebounds and putbacks.

Gamecocks invade Rupp Thursday Night for rematch with the Wildcats. I say Downey gets 20-22 on about 25 shots but the Wildcats get payback 77-60.
