February 20, 201016 yr I know i'm in the minority, but I think we are better off without him really. He had a great season and is certainly a major upgrade over Bledsoe, I just don't know how well he would've meshed with the new group.

He would have given UK Kansas status basically.
February 21, 201016 yr Meeks, Wall, Cousins and Patterson would have been a nearly unbeatable top 4 IMO.
February 21, 201016 yr Oh how I wish... It's too bad. Why can't everything be perfect? Having him could have given this team a chance at real perfection...
February 21, 201016 yr He's an outside shooter. He would have given UK Kansas status basically. I don't think he would be content in that role though. He played out of his mind last year, but he had to. With this talent and the dynamic of this team, I just don't think he would have fit in. Either way, I wish him luck in what appears to be a very uphill battle for success in the league.
February 21, 201016 yr Meeks in a Kentucky uniform this year would be cheating. There is an easy anti-KY post in your post.:lol:

He wouldn't have gotten to take as many shots. However his shots that he would get to take would have been much easier. Not to mention Meeks was also very fast, so with this team running more it also would have gotten him more easy baskets in transition. Just imagine teams trying to stop Wall and Meeks on a fast break!

February 23, 201016 yr Too many violent cuts for any reasonable fan to handle  In all honesty, I wish Meeks were around just so I could hear Jimmy "Violent Cut" Dykes.

Whether he liked the role or not, he would have put teams in a horrible situation because going zone would be even more easy for the Cats. It would have been a matchup nightmare for teams.

It would have been a matchup nightmare for teams. I was in the minority at first too because I was afraid how he would mesh with this team, but I wish he would have came back for this very reason. It would be near to impossible to zone us with Meeks in the lineup, and who doesn't love hearing Jimmy Dykes talk about violent cuts several times a game.
