February 18, 201016 yr Another extremely large win for UL. Notre Dame had a chance to tie with a guy wide open under the basket as time was expiring, but they couldn't get the ball to him and never got off a shot.
February 18, 201016 yr This was an awesome game to watch. Both teams were making play after play down the stretch. I'm glad it's over, I've got to get my blood pressure back down so I can go to bed. Props to ND, they fought their butt off. Had ND made their free throws in the last minute, they would of won. They reminded me of UofL in a couple of games this season. UofL kept feeding Samuels and he produced. ND did a good job of stealing the ball from him a few times, but he was a beast. Basically fouled out 4 ND kids. I thought the Cards were cooked when they went down 7 in the 1st OT. As soon as they went down 7 Reggie Delk hit a three and got fouled to cut it back to 3. That was a huge play. Key stat for Cards: 35-40 from the ft line. Samuels- 36pts Swop-12pts 9 boards Sosa- 12pts
February 18, 201016 yr UL has a hard time focusing for teams they should beat. It was a good thing ND didn't have a full roster tonight or might have been a different story. Any besides me think Sosa should have passed the ball at the end of the 1st OT to Smith, instead of taking a 1/2 court shot. Looked like Smith would have had an easier shot.

February 18, 201016 yr Cards are 8-5 in the Big East and 17-9 overall. They head to Depaul for another must win game before the Hoyas roll into Freedom Hall.

Louisville would appear to be in pretty good shape, but the Cards' schedule is really tough down the stretch. They absolutely have to win at DePaul on Saturday, which would make them 9-5/18-9. Final four games are Georgetown, @Connecticut, @Marquette, Syracuse. Winning just one would make them 10-8/19-12. Any more than one win in the last four and they are a lock. Add a win in the Big East tournament at it would be hard to keep them at home.

I'm thinking 10-8 pretty much locks up a NCAA birth, with the Cuse win. They're going to have a very high RPI. 11 Big East wins is automatic. Or, 10 wins and one tourney win should do the trick. That being said, I hope they win them all.:banana: Last Thursday night I really thought the season was over. They can't fall asleep and let Depaul beat them Saturday. They HAVE to win that one.
