February 17, 201016 yr Wow that's crazy. Wall woudn't be a top pick if he were a 2 guard IMO. He has some rough edges but he's about as good of a PG prospect as there has been in the last few years IMO. I'd be willing to go all the way back to Kidd...
February 17, 201016 yr Last comment. Nobody, not even me or Bayless said he is not a point guard. Just said he looks like a 2 more than he should in games just like a 2 looks like the point at times. His turnovers have been substantially higher than his assists in 6 games(according to one poster), but his assists to turnover ratio is 6-5 or 6-4. Doesn't Jon Scheyer of Duke average close to as many points and assists to Wall per game but just 1 turnover per game? Would you consider him a point guard that plays more like a 2 in games or a true point guard? Somebody that has time to fact check this, please do. Good points, but Wall typically has at least 1 WOW play per game if not more. This to me combats a couple of turnovers a game as well. WOW plays tend to swing momentum and increase energy.
February 17, 201016 yr I'd be willing to go all the way back to Kidd... I still like CP3 just as much because he is better in the half court. But, a legit argument could be made all the way back to Kidd though IMO. Every NBA scout in the Country sees it but Bayless is going to be bent on proving them wrong. I heard Bayless pretty much say LeBron still wasn't any good the other day. He's a fool. Or maybe ESPN just pays him to say really stupid things that will get everyones attention. :thumb:

He is obviously wrong on the Wall assertion and will go out of his way to prove his point no matter how wrong he is. A lot of it is for show and villains such as Skip create interest. He goes out of his way to criticize "Prince" James. His basis is that he judges LeBron on the Michael Jordan scale of greatness. Some of his points about LeBron have merit to them despite what many "witnesses" will say.

I originally thought of him, but there were many more doubts with him then there are with Wall IMO.
February 17, 201016 yr Skip Bayless also said the Bobcats were going to be a dangerous team come playoff time, and that he would rather have Dwyane Wade over LeBron James on his team, so he's accustomed to making foolish statements. Just because his game isn't identical to Steve Nash and Jason Kidd's game, doesn't mean he's a 2.

Nothing he has said this year about LeBron has had much merit to me, other than that he said the Cavs were doing the exact same thing last year. But to me, the Cavs playoff failure that he places on LeBron's shoulders couldn't possibly be put on LBJ last season. He had one of the greatest individual playoff series of the last few decades statistically. There was really nothing more he could do, the Magic had their number. Paul wasn't seen as a sure thing like Wall is IMO. I originally thought of him, but there were many more doubts with him then there are with Wall IMO. True. I never knew how anyone could think CP3 wasn't a sure thing though. But he's another player I've followed since he was in high school so that's probably just my bias.:thumb:
February 17, 201016 yr With this comment, Skip Bayless just showed that he has not watched UK at all this season. He also proved that he is a moronic idiot. How he stays on ESPN is beyond me. Easy...he is on the WORST show on TV. Not just ESPN, but TV. Dana J. is the worst person on TV and Skip is 1A. The better question is how does that show stay on ESPN.

But Bayless is a TV shock-jock. He's paid to stir the pot, and stir it he does (although he's basically an idiot). It took me a while to recognize that about him, but after hearing so much stupidity gush from the man's mouth, I see it clearly now. The disagreement is with his evaluation of LeBron. I also grade LeBron (among a few others) on the "MJ scale." But what people don't realize is that LeBron is 25. Jordan was 28 before winning his first title. So if Skip is going to judge LeBron according to the Jordan-curve, he has to be fair about it. From all I've seen and heard, he hasn't done that. But as for the John Wall thing...I've never in the 25 games he's played this year...ever, ever, ever, ever thought of him as anything but a point guard. His turnovers are too high, in my opinion (I don't care what Cal says about it), but I think after a couple of years in "The League" those will be dramatically reduced. The kid is a freak athlete, and he has all the skills to be an NBA all-star year in and year out.

They really can't be compared because outside of wearing the same number they two could not be more different on the court IMO. Jordan is the greatest, but LeBron can do some things that everyone else could only dream about. I have always thought if he had to be compared to someone I would go with the Big O because of how they fill the stat sheet, though they are obviously way different as well.:thumb:
February 17, 201016 yr As for Wall, even UK haters can see how good of a prospect he is but somehow Skip Bayless knows more than NBA scouts who are paid to evaluate this sort of thing and the rest of the United States.
February 17, 201016 yr Just throwing this out there....we have a Hubert Davis on here, is it possible that All-In is in fact Skip Bayless? Haha, I'm just joking with you AI.
February 17, 201016 yr I look at it like this. UK has no legit scorer on the wing, so alot of times Wall is forced to try to create on his own. I like Bledsoe, Liggins, Dodson, etc. but they cannot create a shot. Only Wall and Cousins can do that consistently IMO, so Wall ends up having to do too much which is always going to lead to TO's. Also alot of Wall's turnovers come in the full court, some of that can be contributed to that being UK's style of play. Basically though IMO Wall has to do too much at times.
