Ray will not run the system at Henry Co. He will also not run the 353 on D. He was never a fan of the 2 at LCA. Curtis Cotton ran LCA's offense and Hays Browning ran the D.

And they won a state title and got to a state semi-final in those two years.

Power mixture on Offensive (bone, wing T, etc) and a 5-2 on D. He will adjust to a 40 front depending on formations and team.

That will be a big change. I just don't see it happening this coming year, because the QB they have is a pretty dang good passer. I could be wrong, thats why I am not a coach!

It's going to be hard for a coach with any talent at all to screw up at HC with the group of kids he's getting. They are no strangers to football and any offensive change would have to be less complex than what they have run in the past. I am looking forward to another district Championship and a deeper run in the playoffs. Welcome Coach Graham.

Ledford was the head coach at Franklin County for two years. I believe he did not have a very good record there.

If you keep a top ten list of people you meet in life and thank God for letting your paths cross... Ray Graham makes that list with ease! I have really enjoyed working with Coach Graham over the past two years at LCA.

 

I wish him and Henry Co. nothing but the best! The Eagles will miss Coach Graham... and will be rooting for the Wildcats on Friday nights!

Coach Ledford was successful at FCHS. He was a Defensive Coach when Coach Walker was there and had some really good teams. The 2 years he was Head Coach FCHS made the playoffs both years. Actually he was at FCHS as a Coach the year before Walker got to FCHS under Tom Roberts. FCHS had a really good team his 1st year as Head Coach and went like 9-3. The 2nd year I believe it was 6-6. You cannot say he did not have a very good record there. The bad years were when Coach Roberts was at the end of his tenure as Head Coach. :thumb:

Dont get to excited about "the system". It has been around for quite a while now, and only 1 team who truly ran it has won a state title. Many more teams (even in the past few years ) have won titles playing smashmouth rather than "the system".

Really. The only team that won state last year that didn't run some kind of spread was St. X, and the team they beat in the finals was a spread team. I don't think that's an accurate statement.
