Texas/Alabama updates

Featured Replies

Better in terms of filling the stadium? Yes. Better on the field? That wasn't what I was told by Fiesta Bowl reps at the last two UC regular season games...

What did you think they would tell you, you know being a UC guy?

I don't believe for a second that Texas can win this. It maybe "close", but Bama will have to screw up for Texas to get back in.

At games I am a media guy, not a UC guy. Nice try though...

To reiterate, Florida wasn't available because the Sugar took them first. And second, it's obvious the Fiesta Bowl folks thought both TCU and Boise were better than Cincinnati. Were they right? Who knows. But they had a fair argument considering all three were undefeated.

Here's my point, the new director of the BCS said today their will be no playoff in college football. If that is the position of the BCS, then you need to put the best teams against each other, not worry about selling tickets, FEX EX, and the rest of the bowl sponsors will sell the tickets, and TV ratings will take care of themselves. Put the MID MAJORS against the big boys and see how good they are or the BCS needs to shut up and tell us it's all about the money, or give us a playoff!

They are at a UC game it does not matter if they were talking to joe fan at the concession stand, they were talking to a UC guy.

I had know idea you were even a media guy.

Meanwhile in the Bama/Texas game.... Texas is playing lights out defensively.

I don't feel like the game is over either.

It's over unless Bama turns it over right here.

They are not interested in any team yelling out we're #2, we're #2 or we're #3, we're #3. They are set up to put #1 vs #2 and make money.

One of the games was at Pitt. How about the large number of national guys at both games they also chatted with? You are WAY off base here, so it's best to drop it...

There are some vicious hits being made out there.

I'd love to see a quick td by Texas to make this interesting.

Man if Bama hadn't scored on the INT right before halftime
