Texas/Alabama updates

Yes, they can. McCoy did tonight he got hurt

That was my only point. You've crucified the TCU kid for playing one bad game, which was likely the only game 95% of BGP saw TCU play this year. Sometimes players have a bad game - it just so happened millions of people were watching that game. Don't let that sully your image of him as a player.

Why does a school like UT have freshman as the #2 qb?

He put up some solid numbers this year, so obviously he's doing something right. He may not be a Heisman winner but I don't think he a scrub either.

Against some weak teams. What would he have done in the SEC, or Big 12

That is hard to say because he then would of had better players around him.

What got me the most was they put those two MID-MAJORS in the same bowl so we really don't know how good either one of those teams were. I would have loved to seen BSU against FL and TCU against Cincy or vice verse

I agree, that would have been more interesting.

They?

There is a selection order for BCS bowl games. And BCS bowl games aren't interested in making the best game as much as they are interested in selling out their stadium and generating high TV ratings. Selecting two western teams meant selling out the stadium, generating buzz among the fans, and garnering good TV.

You have to wonder with the way Texas has stepped up defensively what could have happened with a healthy McCoy.

Or they were interested in generating more controversy

When there are 3 mid majors(BS, TCU, and UC) undefeated 2 of them are bound to play each other. lol:D

I know that the Little East is a BCS conference.:D

I think Bama wouldn't be as near conservative as they are right now.

Or they were interested in generating more controversy

But what did the Fiesta Bowl have to gain by doing that? Why would they not select the two best available teams, assuring two good crowds, assuring fan interest, and assuring TV ratings?

Or maybe they did just that by selecting TCU and Boise State.

Cincy has been the only Big East team to lose in a BCS bowl

When they went conservative they started moving the ball and dominating. When they tried to throw the ball early the got sacked, 4 times in the first qtr alone.
