Kentucky has sold 4X as many tickets as Clemson

Featured Replies

UK over 16,000 and Clemson under 4,000 for the Music City Bowl.

I'm still thinking about making the trip down.

No surprise here. UK fans do travel.

And I will be making this trip!! Had to miss the bowl game last year, but already had scheduled time off based on a few bowl games to make sure I wouldn't miss it this year.

Is that just tickets sold through the respective schools? I would certainly hope so for the Music City Bowl's sake.

It would have to be.

You have to expect this Kentucky fans will go anywhere at any time that is a supportive fan base right there. Now Clemson fans are probably a little upset they were passed over for the Gator Bowl for a 6-6 Florida State. I think that hurt ticket sales for the Tigers a little bit. Still any bowl game UK goes to there pretty much going to sell more tickets then the opponent in my opinion.

They were also a game away from a BCS Bowl. This is a pretty big drop for them.

Wasn't Kentucky a game away from a BCS Bowl?

No. Pretty sure their ceiling was the Outback if they beat the Vols.

No way. A conference can only send two teams, and those two were always going to be Alabama and Florida.

 No.

I wish the game were an afternoon start. No way I can make a Sunday night game then drive home and go to work the next morning.

Me too. I think we are going to stay in Bowling Green and come back Monday morning.

Is this game not sold out already?

Very few bowl games actually sell out.

I've taken Monday off to travel back and Tuesday to recover from an entire weekend in Nashville.
