December 14, 200916 yr I would rather have Zimmer. The third name would be my choice out of the group with NFL ties...
December 14, 200916 yr I'm sorry, but his name is being mentioned as a very attractive option as a HC at the NFL level....Why in the world would he go to UC when he's going to have NFL opportunities? Easy answer........ he won't. I'm gonna go Shanahan. I think there's a connection there too.:sssh: Good luck with that. I want UC to hire a great coach, but Shanahan would be off his rocker taking a college job when he will be a prime candidate for NFL jobs. Like most coaching jobs, I think more realistic candidates will emerge in the coming days. This is my last post on the subject. Don't hate on what I said either. If UC lands Shanahan or one of the big name NFL guys I'll gladly eat my crow. I just can't see it happening in all reality.:idunno:
December 14, 200916 yr The third name would be my choice out of the group with NFL ties... He's a current NFL coordinator?
December 14, 200916 yr I don't think Zimmer or Shannahan will get the job either, but both have expressed interest and will meet with the AD by tomorrow. The third one would be a lot more likely than the first two and his resume as an assistant in college is pretty impressive. Still not likely, but more likely than the other two...
December 14, 200916 yr Not right now, but has been in the past... Ok, this is just a complete shot in the dark, but....Norm Chow?
December 14, 200916 yr Ok, this is just a complete shot in the dark, but....Norm Chow? I was just thinking the exact same. This thread is like a game of Guess Who.
December 14, 200916 yr  I was just thinking the exact same. This thread is like a game of Guess Who. Yep. I can't think of any other high profile college assisants....:idunno:
December 14, 200916 yr Yep. I can't think of any other high profile college assisants....:idunno: Here's a hint. Someone has been very vocal on Twitter about this guy getting the UC job...
December 14, 200916 yr I don't see the likelihood of many NFL coaches/coordinators taking interest in the job...and frankly, of those who may, I don't think I would be interested in them (were I in a decision-making position for UC).
December 14, 200916 yr The offensive coordinator for USC? I know I just remember hearing that I think it was the offensive coordinator for USC this year, had been in the NFL the last few years for Denver before this season, and his named was mentioned for the possibly the Bears offensive coordinator to reunite him with Cutler. So just thinking that maybe this is the guy your talking about?
