UC's Next Coach

Featured Replies

Now that the drama is over lets move on.

Who is next at UC?

No way the Boise head coach comes.

I heard someone mention the U Houston coach. I could see that unless he wants to hold out a year or two for a bigger job.

My prediction is that it will be a MAC head coach or an assistant from a BCS school.

^ Calling Butch Jones.

It worked the last time.

Butch Jones and Kevin Sumlin are the early targets...

KERRY COMBS coaching the team against Florida. Ha Ha Ha! Taking a three year removed high school coach and putting him up against one of the best coaches in collegiate football. What a dis-service to all the athletes on the UC squad. They deserve so much better!

Good luck to UC in the search process...

If he is the coach for the Sugar Bowl it will say a lot about the UC program.

Not a big jump. Program as a whole is not where Boise is. Was it just Kelly? Why go to UC when your name will be on every list for any major openings?

Yeah, I see what you are saying.

Such as, it not being the job that some of us think it is.

Coombs is likely to be one of the very few on the staff that stick around, so if an interim coach is going to have to coach the bowl game, he is the best bet. There is zero chance he is the next head coach...

GT, you think there is any chance Coombs leaves with Kelly?

I would be very surprised if he did...
