"Brighter Than Creation's Dark"

 

All three, of course, are by Drive-By Truckers.

"Brighter Than Creation's Dark" is a great album. I wasn't wild about it when I first played it but it grew on me.

 

I gotta go with "Southern Rock Opera" as my favorite DBT album.

I agree with Homer.

I am extremely skeptical of any list that doesn't feature Todd Snider's "East Nashville Skyline."

 

And while she's a pretty regrettable human being, even by rock'n'roll standards, Amy Winehouse hit a big home run with "Back To Black."

"Extraordinary Machine" by Fiona Apple is in the mix for me, as are a few Neko Case albums.

"Hernando" and "Shake Hands With Shorty" by North Mississippi All Stars would make the cut, as would a few MMJ cuts. Might just cheat and go with their four-LP live set "Okonokos."

Lol! I felt old just reading that list. I havent heard of any of them! The Beatles, Elvis and the Stones........not THAT was music!
