How are the ticket prices to high? It's the same amount for two games $9 compared to the split session you have to pay for. It all adds up. Good grief.:ohbrother:

Do most Harlan fans stay to watch Whitley beat Corbin, or do they pass on the second game in order to make it home at a decent hour? A family of four now has $32 in one game.

 

It's a win/win for Corbin City, they now reap the benefits of every regional tournament. Cities like Manchester, Harlan, London and so on will now be left out of any revenue generated by the tourney. I don't like it.

Obviously mator or madator doesn't watch as much basketball as he or she should. Lynn camp is on the best run in its history. Just because you have a keyboard with no soul doesn't give you the right to throw off on a team you know nothing about. Hopefully, you and your keyboard will get the chance this year. There is a lot of basketball left to play but the camp should rise to the occasion yet again. Pick on someone who doesn't have heart. Anyone who watches basketball knows the camp isn't any good doesn't work anymore. Which team do you follow so we can analyze real basketball knowledge, skill, and mindset. You are correct Les, I am upset. Just as you would be if the tourney was going to be played at an arena in Manchester.

 

$9 a ticket for one game is too much. Just because there won't be a split session does not mean EVERYBODY will want to watch two games.

All of that is taken care of .... also it simply states in the proposal voted in The Arena will offer items at a reduced cost to help with the large expense already being incurred by families and students.:thumb:

Ticket prices and ticket access concern me. $9.00 for 2 games is basically what was paid in the boys regional for the semifinals only, with the split session. First round games have been a doube session @ 5.00 and the finals of course a single session at 5.00 also. At this price, to attend all 4 nights is an increase of 12.00. This could be an issue for some students. Especially when there is more than one kid in the family.

 

Concessions will be much higher, compared to a high school.

 

As for ticket distribution. The arena uses ticketmaster. Will there be a service charge on that 9.00 ticket and if so how much ?? Will they be available at the box office and if so, will there be a surcharge?? And more importantly, will the people in corbin have access, because of location, purchase the better seats, and buy the tickets at a better price at the box office while everyone scrambles online and pays a fee to ticketmaster ???

How can we find out who the 4 were that voted against this proposal? Would be interested in knowing how the vote was broken down. I disagree with it but I do hope it doesn't turn out to be a I TOLD YOU SO!

I am glad to see the 13th going to a neutral court. I wish all 16 rgions could find neutral courts to play on. With something so important as a trip to Sweet Sixteen, there should not be a home court advantage. Let all teams be equal and the winner prevail!

There were six schools that voted against it during the first vote and then four. There were no certain three that were against more than the other the four that voted against it were against it.

We didn't receive anything about ticket distribution, but I know they talked about it (the school officials) and came to an agreement on something.

In the papers I have it states that reserved seating is for sections 105, 106, 107, 119, 120 and 121 and it will be reserved from top to bottom. The cost of single night tickets will be $9. All sessions ticket price is $45. The top rows of the reserved sections will be used for the complimentary tickets given to the school.

 

I know it doesn't help, but I would call your school's principal for more information.

Anybody that thinks this will be a NEUTRAL court is a fool. Yes, " a thousands times a fool."
