I like all the one you mentioned Ram Fan, and like MT said add WKU to the list, however, I always welcome that slump but come on, over 20 games lost in a row.

In no particular order; Notre Dame (I really thought this was the year for them to rack up 10 wins or so), Florida State, Michigan, Maryland, USC, Mississippi (when compared to the pre-season hype), Oklahoma.

I think SEC fans of most schools are disappointed. UT fans will never love being 7-5, UGA fans, too. LSU fans thought they could compete for an SEC west title and a BCS berth. Ole Miss fans thought they would be top 10. SC fans didn't want to fade down the stretch again. Auburn fans were feeling great after a good start but had to be disappointed by tanking down the stretch and being so close to knocking off rival Bama but losing. Vandy took a big step back after a their first bowl in 20 plus years last year. MSU surely wonders why they aren't bowling. UK fans thought this was the year to beat UT or at least Steve Spurrier. Arkansas lost some close ones and could have rode the arm of Mallett to the Cotten bowl or at least the Outback. And then there is UF and Bama. One of those fan bases will be bitterly disappointed by an SEC title loss as both feel they have national title caliber teams.

Ole Miss I watched it first hand 10 times this season!

 

Out of respect for you, I wasn't going to mention them. They didn't live up to expectations, but before Nutt those expectations wouldn't have existed or have been as high IMO. It's a win-win and a lose-lose IMO at the same time.

Spikes is writing a great a great piece on this for one of his government classes, with a history on it, thorough research and some research on what realisitic alternatives are. Maybe he can share when it has been completed. He found alot of things that I didn't know about the BCS, and I'd say most on here have either missed this information or forgotten about it. Outside of commonly cited things such as the year Auburn got left out, the BCS has a long history or being unjust.

It's lengthy, but it is honestly one of the best things I've read about the BCS. Not just because he's my buddy, but he really did his research and it's well written. I'll see what I can do. :thumb:

Sounds good! My job requires me sitting in a room by myself for 8 or 16 hours at a time. So the time to read a lengthy piece isn't a problem for me:lol:. And I enjoy reading about football and definetely enjoy reading about the BCS.

I appreciate the love, but sometimes the truth hurts. I'm not sure though how disappointed I can be we are 8-4 again just two years removed from the Ed. O disaster which I thought we'd never recover from.

Most picked about a 5-7 to 6-6 record. They finished 7-5, better than most expected. Given that, I don't see how they could really be on this list.

I had been reading about him on scout but I hadn't seen the highlights until now. I am a bit worried about him though our scout recruiting beat rider was talking yesterday about how hard it is to get a kid out of Miami that Miami wants, and I tend to think it would be hard for us to keep him if Miami really wants him. Hopefully they are just talking to him as a backup plan so we will be able to keep him coming our way!

You never know. Miami has some WR higher on their board, namely Chris Dunkley, Sticks McCartney, and Michaelee Harris. I think they will get Harris since he's from MNW, I don't think they will be able to keep Dunkley out of Gainesville, and McCartney is anyones guess between WVU, UF, and Miami I believe.
