November 23, 200916 yr Didn't look like a good division today. Only Balt was expected to lose. I hope Big Ben is okay any word? Never want ill treatment to a fellow Buckeye native.
November 23, 200916 yr Fact = Bengals cannot win the west coast. Has the day come the Bengals have lost there down field receiver? Are we missing Chris Henry?
November 23, 200916 yr 60 of those yards were on one play... The passing game was much more consistant, and IMO was not used entirely to its capability except for the first two drives. The entire gameplan changed after that... You do realize that the second drive for a touchdown came basically on all runs. Only that first drive did the Bengals really just pick them apart passing. The Raiders did a good job putting pressure on Palmer today. Turnovers and the missed field goal killed them.
November 23, 200916 yr Fact = Bengals cannot win the west coast. Has the day come the Bengals have lost there down field receiver? Are we missing Chris Henry? Simple answer YES! I said it the day he got hurt. I mean you seriously could look all the way back to his rookie season when he is playing that is when the offense is at its best. 05 and 06 he was playing and the offense did great. 07 he missed half the year because of suspension and that is when the offense started going down hill. To begin this season he was not playing much and offense wasn't doing to great. He started playing more the last couple of games before he got hurt and the offense really started to get going. He is a big part of the offense. He is a big play threat, and when he is in teams know he is a deep threat. So they have to put a safety over top of him, so that opens up the middle of the field, and everything else.

November 23, 200916 yr The Bengals already have all the tie breakers won in the division. I was thinking about the #2 and #3 seeds.
November 23, 200916 yr I agree... ive watched Moss play this year a lot too. Age catches us all... Huh? I thought you were talking about Chris Henry? If you are talking about Chad, teams still always put a safety over top of Chad all the time. Teams are not going to let him beat them deep. That is why Chris Henry was so important, because he was the other deep threat.

Chad has been doubled his whole career and still hit homeruns. He is going over the middle now, he is 9 years into the league now. Coles use to be a burner also.

The Raiders did a good job putting pressure on Palmer today. Turnovers and the missed field goal killed them. I do realize that. You do realize the first drive, all they did was pass? However, on the first two drives, the second of which ended in a forced fumble I believe, the Bengals moved all over the field through the air... I understand the run is a necessary part of the offense and had success in spurts today, but Bratkowski totally changed the gameplan and disowned the passing game...
November 23, 200916 yr I think the Bengals are fine with the receivers that they've got. Chad is back to being the receiver he was 3 or 4 years ago...Carson is becoming more and more confident in Coles. Both of them made the catches today when it was thrown their way. The problem is...they can't catch it...IF YOU DON'T THROW IT!!! They could've picked apart this Raiders secondary today. And yet, when they got the lead...suddenly they forget about that part of the playbook. Stupid, stupid, stupid.
November 23, 200916 yr Where did the passing game go? Up 14, and the Bengals just want to run the ball up the middle for no gain.
November 23, 200916 yr The Bengals played not to lose today, instead of playing to win. They quit trying to throw the ball and simply tried to run the clock out. Pathetic, a really bad loss with a chance to get a 3 game lead. Just when you think things are getting better... Key point of the game.:thumb:
November 23, 200916 yr Scott had 21 carries for 119 yards...why not run the ball? Why does he continue to try and run up the middle?!:madman: He does better breaking the ball to the outside. I have no clue, why we went away from the passing game. :puke::irked:
November 23, 200916 yr Ive read that the Bengals served one up, poor playcalling, and several other excuses. This is all stuff that all you guys were laughing at us STeelers fans last week for saying now you saying the same things. Karma baby you got to love it....Lucky for the Bengals the Steelers and Ravens got it handed to them today also. Is the AFC North full of average teams?
