November 29, 200916 yr Am I the only one who thought Sandra was smoking.. come on people! Agree!:jump:
November 29, 200916 yr I will second that. Great LEGS !!! She was in great shape and had a softer look in the movie. She was on Jimmy Kimmel the other night and looked like a biker chick though. Still great legs. :eyeonyou: Maybe because she IS married to a biker
November 30, 200916 yr I thought it was good. Not in the same league as Remember the Titans for me though.
November 30, 200916 yr My wife and I have seen it twice and it is an excellent movie imo. Has more to do with life and people willing to give of themselves and do for others than it has to do with football. Almost wanted to become an Ole Miss fan, but it wasn't that good of a movie lol! ESPN did a little segment last week on the coaches who played themselves and how none of them are now with the schools they were representing.
December 6, 200916 yr One conclusion I came to was that I would probably commit suicide if I had to sit in the living room with Lou Holtz for very long.
December 12, 200916 yr Saw it tonight. Pretty good, but kind of absurd how much screen time was allotted to Sandra Bullock. All other characters were minor.
December 13, 200916 yr Saw it tonight. Pretty good, but kind of absurd how much screen time was allotted to Sandra Bullock. All other characters were minor. I would have to agree to disagree. Based upon the true story, Leann Toohey was a driving force in Oher's life, so I don't think her character was overplayed.:thumb:
December 13, 200916 yr Saw it last night. Solid movie. Lots of stuff that wasn't in the book though to "movie it up." I've read that Oher is not happy with how they portrayed him in the movie as having no knowledge of how to play football when he first started at the high school.
December 13, 200916 yr ESPN did a little segment last week on the coaches who played themselves and how none of them are now with the schools they were representing. That is what I was telling my wife each time they would show a coach.
December 14, 200916 yr I would have to agree to disagree. Based upon the true story, Leann Toohey was a driving force in Oher's life, so I don't think her character was overplayed.:thumb: I'm not disputing that is how it was in real life. I'm just saying that Bullock has an enormous amount of screen time, and that arguably the movie is more about her character than Oher. Saw it last night. Solid movie. Lots of stuff that wasn't in the book though to "movie it up." I've read that Oher is not happy with how they portrayed him in the movie as having no knowledge of how to play football when he first started at the high school. I wouldn't be suprised. They portrayed him as extremely stupid.
