November 22, 200916 yr One of the best movies I've seen in awhile. I plan to read the book now. The movie is as much about Sandra Bullock's character, Leann Toohey as it is Michael Oher. If she had not done what she did the football world likely would never have heard of Michael Oher and who knows were his live would have led him. To me the theme of the movie is giving back and seeing the value in everyone. The only weak spot in the movie is Tim McGraw. He wasn't terrible but he should stick to singing.
November 22, 200916 yr Maybe my all time favorite "sports related" movie. It was probably more about life that football. I think it's a must see. Tim McGraw-I thought he did very well, my wife and I didn't even realize it was him till late in the movie. Sandra B is outstanding on all levels.:ylsuper:
November 23, 200916 yr Author It was sold out last night, and my girlfriend had to work... :ohbrother: A friend of mine asked me to go, but didn't feel like spending Thanksgiving in the doghouse... I can't wait to see it...

Totally agree I saw it tonight and its really good. For me it ranks around Remember the Titans. Very good movie... and I am amazed nobody else has said it but Sandra looks great!
November 27, 200916 yr Wife and I saw it yesterday and it was a very good movie and I recommend it to anyone. WOW was a little shocked at the price oh well live and learn as we always say. It was worth the admission. JD
November 27, 200916 yr I went today and I thought it was pretty good. It wasnt as emotionally telling as I thought it would be but a very touching story that makes you want to go read a book to your kids or help an underpriveleged child somewhere out there. Kudos to the Touhey Family. This world needs more folks like those people. BTW- we hit the Brothers Bar and Grill next to Barnes and Noble on the Levee and it was a very nice place. I got a philly steak wrap and it was pretty good. My son's chicken fingers were very good and juicy actually. The chili is pretty good and the service isnt bad. Nice television placement as well. I would expect this place to give the other places a run for their money.
November 28, 200916 yr I haven't been to the movies in over 2 years. Most of the time I will wait till the movie comes out on DVD, but this one was one I was not going to wait for. I loved it and I will buy this one as soon as it comes out on DVD. It is for sure a must see.

November 28, 200916 yr Totally, totally, totally a great movie! If you only see one movie this holiday season, this is the one to see. What a story! On the way home you can put yourself into the position of a number of these people. Then ask yourself, Would you do that for someone?
November 29, 200916 yr Am I the only one who thought Sandra was smoking.. come on people! I will second that. Great LEGS !!! She was in great shape and had a softer look in the movie. She was on Jimmy Kimmel the other night and looked like a biker chick though. Still great legs. :eyeonyou:
