Did Varney play? I know he's had some injury issues of late. Without him (or with him not 100%), Belfry is an average team this year.

I said 2 weeks ago they would win both. I really think they can and will get to the carpet.

I knew Sheldon Clark was capable of winning this game. They had me worried at half time as it looked like it would turn out like every other SC/Belfry game. SC came out the 2nd half and controlled every aspect of the game. Big props to my guy Shawn Hager for opening up his play book a little and doing what it took to beat them.

Belfry was undersized and not much above average this year.

 

They are going to go through a rough 2 year period I'm afraid, no person to even come close to replacing Thomas......some sophs are promising, fresh class is a little better.....

And to suggest that a 2 time State Champion coach "choked" is nuts as well!

I don't know how many times I've seen this now. Unless Belfry changed teams from the beginning of the year, Belfry was MUCH larger across the lines than Prestonsburg this year (and HAVE been since 2001). You all were bigger than Pikeville, Paintsville, Shelby Valley, Pike Central. Sheldon Clark's front size was comparible.

 

No, Belfry was "undersized" only in comparison to other Pirates teams of 2002-2008.
