I think Rockmom did say that U of L is terrible. Also I am as big as UK fan as there is and it is hard to watch this team play. Someone said they didn't understand how one could watch this game and say that UK was terrible; it is easy to make this comment, they were playing EKU. Newton lived off the 5 yard hitch pass simply because the EKU cornerbacks were playing 7 yards off UK receivers. Without Cobb this team is hopeless, and only he can do so much. I do think Newton is a better QB than Hartline and will be a nice QB in a couple of years, but as far as this years UK football team goes, they are terrible just as Rockmom said.

So they beat blew out a bad team and that makes them terrible? I'm not making the connection.

Newton goes 20/29, 187 yards, 2 TDs, 0 INTs in less than 3 quarters. I'll take that no matter who they're playing.

I never said they were great, and they may even be terrible, but I'm not sure how you watch this game and make that conclusion.

Good win for the CATS, and I agree Sieber is not very good. I like the comments on how bad we are and played without our two best playmakers. Not too long ago UK wouldn't have been able to rest their two best players and win this game as easily as they did. I also agree Newton lived off the hitch route because they were playing so far off the recievers. Smart football, what's he suppossed to do force it downfield and have a turnover. Kid plays a pretty smart game and gets critisized for doing what he should.

Love to see UL fans getting on here talking about how horrible UK is. I just about fell out of my chair I was laughing so hard.

Then where does that put UofL? I know UK isn't great, but I think you have sour grapes because UofL is soooo terrible. I'm calling terrible, terrible. :isurrender:

I guess about 4 points worse than UK.... hahaha

Because I played football at the collegiate level, and it is quite easy to see good football players, and even easier to notice the bad ones, and this state is full of them right now.

U of L is a joke......doesn't change how bad Kentucky is.

And if I recall you're one of the biggest Krag supporters around. That tells me all I need to know about your expertise.

Just because I like the man, and believe in his philosophy doesn't mean I don't know how to guage talent. You know what.....you stay in your world and think that UK is a decent football team. That type of tought process is why UK will always be a bottom dwellar in the SEC.

Classic RP. Has he ever said one good thing about UK in anything?

One more and we are bowling.

 You think he would know better playing at the collegiate level and all.

Just because I like the man, and believe in his philosophy doesn't mean I don't know how to guage talent.

Apparently it does.

I am a UK fan but UK is not terrible as you said, but I do think you are right in that they are not as good as some of my fellow UK fans think. At best and I mean at best they are an average football team. I mean we might win 2 SEC games this year, and still make it bowling because we play 4 bad teams in non conference. I mean that is not really saying much at all for this team. They are not terrible as you say, however they are not as good as other think IMO. If you want to see terrible though, then go back to UK football 4 years ago. Now that was terrible, that is why I cant agree with you on the terrible comment. I just wish people would stop being so happy with being just mediocre though. It seems like people are just fine and excited seeing us just win 2 or 3 SEC games and going to a bowl game. Yeah the SEC is tough, however this program could get better than what it is at now, yet it seems like we are slowly going back down rather than up.

Why would I ever buck tradition?

Apparently it does.

Do you really think he has coached this team poorly this year? I think the opposite, I truly do. When he is fired at the end of the season, I will certainly understand why, but like I said, in two years, the team will be winning more than it is losing, with or without him.

OK, color me a little confused here. Are they not winning because of lack of talent or because of coaching? If it's lack of talent, then doesn't that blame go to Coach K for not being able to evaluate talent, and why will they all of a sudden start winning in two years?
