Anyone with Verizon going to check this phone out? It comes out in 3 days.

I am not going to lie the commercials got me interested.

Its Android's improved operating system in a phone that they teamed with Motorola and Google to make.

I am extremely interested seeing as how my current phone's best feature is a 911 button.

I tried to look at it on the website. But there wasn't any pictures or really anything abou it. It just told me when it came out and that's it.

I can't see it at work...but there is a way to look at it on the website. I checked it out last night.

It definitely looks cool and I'm mildy considering leaving AT&T when my contract runs out or get an iPhone.

Verizon bought Cellular One, who I had been with for 12 years and really liked. I have to say my coverage is actually a lot better with Verizon and so far I have been very pleased with nearly everything so far. I am going to look into adding my daughter on to our plan (she is currently on AT&T) and this may be the phone we look at for her.

Just curious but what area are you in? The actual Cellular One brand which is what operated in most of KY was bought by AT&T. But there were Cellular One partners who Verizon Wireless purchased.

The commercials have gotten me interested.

More information is up now at http://www.droiddoes.com

It's pretty cool lookin', maybe the price will be reduced by the time my current deal is up. I'm a Verizon user, but just started a new agreement when I returned from Afghanistan in June. I got the tuff G'Zone Boulder.

My upgrade comes up on November 12th and my contract runs out at the first of the year. This definitely has piqued my interest enough to consider waiting the contract out and switching to Verizon.

As with all these major carriers, their coverage is quite poor here in Bowling Green from a perspective of mobile broadband and all the things that would make me want to get one of these types of phones. Verizon's coverage is quite poor in Kentucky broadband-wise. And AT&T, much worse.

After watching that video I am not that impressed really.

Actually, Verizon coverage in KY is quite good, except when you go down 65 from Louisville to the Tennessee border. I couldn't connect to the GPS system or Internet all through that particular area. Everywhere else in KY that I've tried, the service has been great. I know for sure that it's a thousand times better than Sprint.

They've got a coverage map of Kentucky on their website. Outside of the Golden Triangle, and also (for some reason) western Kentucky stretching to around Hopkinsville, the coverage is very, very sparse.

Are you talking 3G coverage or general cell phone coverage?

3G/Broadband. Talk-wise, those companies are fine, but when it gets into deciding if I want to switch to one so I can get a great smartphone, I find myself wondering what the point would be, given that most places I'd go they wouldn't work well. Verizon doesn't even have a store here in Bowling Green, or within 75 miles in-state. You have to go Nashville for that here. That right away tells you what you should expect from them here. AT&T has fine mobile broadband coverage inside Bowling Green, but it gets extremely sparse outside of it.

It doesn't look better than the iPhone. So i'll stick with what I got until something better comes along.
