I am really becoming an Andrews fan, no not Erin, but Antonio. If this is a Mr. Football award, and not a Mr Running Back award, I am beginning to think Andrews is the man. Passing, rushing, kicking, returning, and he plays defense too. He seems to be a true Mr. Football.

I think he has about 18 or so receptions to go with the carries. Maybe 4 TD receptions, Rebel could answer.

 

He has about 4 interceptions on Defense and one returned for a TD. I'm pretty sure all this has been posted before. The exact figures could be added by the more knowledgable people.

 

I'm like Rebel. I don't think he will win it. But you can't discredit him and call him one dimensional anymore than you can do the same for Anotonio Andrews. :thumb:

 

I was not implying that Rees was a one dimensional player or trying to discredit him at all. I am sure that most of these guys are not one dimensional, I am just trying to say that sharing the numbers for the whole player, not just rushing or passing. The original post just said McShara, nothing else to go with it to support it. I just like to see supporting evidence when someone puts a name up there.

All of them could have been. But you really don't want your QB going both ways.

So how does Andrews qualify anymore than Rees? 9 tackles on the season is hardly a really good LB. I'm sure he barely plays on Defense but he's not showcasing anything at another position there.

 

I am not saying Antonio is any better than Reese. He does barely plkay on defense. The point I was making is that he does more than just play one position. He is a good passer, a good rusher and plays decent on defesne as well as kicking and punting. I support this versatality by posting all of the numbers I have for him when I mention him. I just wish everyone else would do the same (that's all I am trying to get - information).

Don't know about the rest, but this one was. He had a great career with Fort Campbell at both Running Back and Linebacker.

Thats the difference. Mr. Football is not voted on, the way you think it should be. I'm sorry but It's not.

When Jeff Duggins won the award part of his "complete package" was he was an outstanding starter at LB for 3 years.

I agree that all of the right players are on here. At this point, I think we could put them in almost any order and have a chance that it would be right.

Unless you've seen the top players multiple times, it's hard to truly say who deserves it. The top choice coming out of the NKY area, IMO, is Miles Simpson. He has 1655 yards on 150 rushes with 30 TDs. He also has 8 receptions for 165 yards and 2 TDs. He played the first half of the season on a bad wheel. He doesn't have the defensive numbers this year, because he wasn't needed on that side of the ball much this year. However, some D1 schools want him as a safety instead of a RB, if that says anything.
