I second the motion. What a great kid. He's a great player that is not even close to reaching his full potential. I think UK and U of L really missed the boat on this kid. He'll be around for FOUR years and by next year he'll be ready to contribute to any major college. Very unselfish, hard worker, and very coachable. He's think'in basketball 24/7. Nicest kid you'll ever meet.

That would be awesome but do you realize how difficult it is to get to the NBA? There are players that make NCAA Division 1 All American teams that don't make it in the NBA. Basketball is by far the most difficult sport to make the pros in.

Thomas Jackson is one of the best guards in the state. Now that Aaron Cosby has gone to prep, look for Thomas to put 25+ a game.

 

Morrow will let Thomas run freely like he did with Dominic Tilford when he won Mr. Basketball

 

Jackson is a very nice player. I'm sure he will have a great year for Jtown.

I don't think Pitino is to worried about Rondo mainly because, Rondo was a ok player all the way through college. If Rico is half the player Rondo is I will be suprised. :clap:

After last night's game, I dont see anyone on Scott Co winning Mr Basketball except for maybe Chad Jackson. I'd move Trinity's Josh Sewell into the mix with Justice, Jackson, and the Holmes duo. Rico Johnson and Elisha Justice are my favorites, with Sewell as the sleeper

Except for the 9 turnovers, Jackson played well last night, and probably played the best overall of the Scott players.

From the Louisville area it's probably Sewell if he has a big year and Trinity can upset some people and go deep into the postseason. Donovan Gibbs, signed with IUPUI from Iroquois has a chance just depends if his team can do anything this year. I don't think anyone from Louisville wins though the talent outside of the city is tremendous. Euton, Jackson and Guyn are all very good, they can't win because to many stars on the team. I haven't seen Justice play yet, I hear good things about him but would like to see him in person does he play in Louisville this year?

He is a great junior. He is not the best player in the state, and he may not be the best player in his class.

 

Some kids at Louisville Eastern, Tates Creek, Clark County, and Warren Central might have something to say about that.

 

One of the best players in the state would also have to include Beckam out of Lex. Cath.

I know there's alot of Holmes haters out there... I am not a big fan. But if you ever meet this kid you're in for a treat. He will get much better. He lives for basketball 24/7. Hands down he's the most versitile player in the state. Only flaw I have with him is that he's unselfish to a fault.

 

I want Holmes to fall I'm for Ft.Thomas Highlands all the way.

But I love this kid and anyone whose been around him feels the same. Great role model, awesome person, and one heck of a basketball player.

I would agree that the hands on favorite would come here. I believe politics will come into play less than usual, because none of these will likely sign with UK. If one does it is said and done.

You think Justice would play in Louisville for all the fans to see there recruit. Don't they do that a lot with other commitments?

The only one that shut Sewell down was Sewell! Picked up several early fouls that took him out of the game and I don't remember them being against Johnson.

 

I thought Johnson did have a very solid game.
