The kid is a very good player, and if Scott County achieves their goals this season I think he will certainly be in the mix, but after watching UK's blue/white scrimmage last evening, no disrespect to G'lawn, I don't think he is in Bledsoe's or Wall's league. They are absolutely off the charts!!!!!!

He will definitely be in the top 5 candidates for Mr Basketball but Im with you on the comparisons with Wall and Bledsoe. The bar is set very high now (about time). So high, that it takes a lightning quick 6'3"+ guy with about a 40"+ vertical to reach it. We do wish him the best of luck wherever he ends up.

Are you talking about the kid from Shelby Valley (Justice)?

Matt St. John

Jarrod Polson

Thomas Jackson

Aaron Watts

Vance Hall

 

All these guys that I listed could put up huge numbers this year IMO.

I'm not so sure. Really in the Sweet 16 last year I thought Polson was awfully good. Hes had some health issues this offseason and is kind of the forgotten man. But that kid can play! Also Vee Sanford played PG. I'd put him ahead of Justice last year without question.

I agree wth you about Polson. He is very illusive and a majician handling the basketball. He is fun to watch and an argument could be made that he is the best point gaurd in the state.

I'll go with Rico Johnson. Great player and great demeanor, too, as I really like the way he conducts himself on the court. I wish him well in his Sr season and with the recruiting process. I believe that Mr. Basketball deserves to end up in the Dawg Pound for the 2009-2010 season.

Unless he changes his mind the recruiting process is over for Johnson. He is committed to Ohio U.

I second the motion. What a great kid. He's a great player that is not even close to reaching his full potential. I think UK and U of L really missed the boat on this kid. He'll be around for FOUR years and by next year he'll be ready to contribute to any major college. Very unselfish, hard worker, and very coachable. He's think'in basketball 24/7. Nicest kid you'll ever meet.

Thomas Jackson is one of the best guards in the state. Now that Aaron Cosby has gone to prep, look for Thomas to put 25+ a game.

 

Morrow will let Thomas run freely like he did with Dominic Tilford when he won Mr. Basketball

I have to disagree, he is a good player, but the way Cal recruits he would be on the end of the bench. I think he is at the perfect level of D1 where he can be successful.

Tilford was a gamer and had a good touch from outside the arc. I don't think this is a fair comparison.
