Good to see that the management at Disney/ABC (Who own ESPN) only care about covering their own rear ends. Given, it was a dumb comment, but goodness this is harsh. Way to stand by your employees ESPN. I'd hate to see what would happen if one of them really did something bad, possibly a burning at the stake or the cat of nine tails.

Allow me to dissent from the popular opinion.

 

IMO its easy for most of us to say the "others" are being "too sensitive" having never walked in their shoes.

 

We can all think of examples of stereotypes that are often joked about but are not funny to those of the race or ethnic group being mocked. I would fully expect any credible organization to take action against one of their front men who made such a reference.

I'll use the example Mo used on 1530 today....Should they suspend Dicky V every time he says something about Rick Pitino eating pasta? I mean the nerve to use such a reference to Italians....

I love tacos and I'm pasty white. This doesn't even compare to Fuzzy Zoeller's comments about Tiger and BTW I love fried chicken and collard greens, with Tobasco of course. Montoya proabably thinks Bob Griese is a US version of Tiger Balm.
