Question to fellow BGPers.

Where do you stand now on GW compared to a few years ago?

Is this a poll of public opinion or scientific opinion? Should we assume all of the people asked spend a great deal of time thinking/studying these topics? For instance, I think there likely is some global warming but I'm not in any place to really state it as fact.

I believe global warming exists on many levels. A lot of global warming is caused by humans, but a lot of it is caused by mother nature. Our planet has shown evidence of extreme global coolings and warmings throughout its existence. We should take as much preventive action as possible in reducing harmful emissions and protecting our planet, but I believe the whole concept of global warming is overhyped tremendously.

I agree with almost all of this except two words. Humans may be responsible for a very small amount of climate change, not "a lot". If there were no humans on the planet earth, 97% of CO2 emissions would still occur, per research by the US Department of Energy.

How in the world am I supposed to have solid evidence to support one side or the other?

Everyone's answer is nothing more than a best guess.

Ah, but then Cap and Trade is being pushed by this administration. Very costly for something that's a "best guess", wouldn't you agree.

Cap and Tax...i mean Trade, is nothing more than a money grab based on a hoax. Plain and simple.

In fairness I gave "a lot" of credit to that evil Mother Nature lady too. :D

Truedat!

Well obviously since there were ice caps in Ohio at one time, global warming definitely exists.

With liberals controlling both houses of congress AND the white house, I see global warming making a huge comeback with all the hot air we have to put up with now.

Maybe that's because the temperature has been decreasing in recent years...the global temperature cycles up and down.

That's why it's "climate change" now, instead of "global warming". Can't really call it warming when the temperature is dropping.

Idiots. They're going to destroy us with this garbage.

When we're all living "The Day After Tommorow" don't get mad at me when I say, "I told you so."

One day that will happen, but proabably no sooner than 1000 years from now, and we will have little to nothing to do with it. The original Ice Ages weren't caused by humans, and the next one wont be either.
