Doesn't SK's and Trinity's districts play each other in the first 3 rounds of the playoffs? If so SK will see what it's made of, that district is strong - Seneca, Eastern, Ballard and Trinity.

Trust me this isn't the same team that lost to HC earlier in the year. I would say SK would beat HC by at least 2 tds now.. I believe SK should be #2 behind St. X in 6a...JMO

He played only 7 plays on D. And he sat out 3 of the drives on O. He was about 75% then. He is 100% now. :scared:

All these NKY folks thinking Simon Kenton is better is rather quaint in my opinion. Almost adorable in its innocence.

 

Nonetheless I have never seen an NKY squad that isn't named Highlands who has been able to shut down the passing attack the Rocks have since Beatty has been there. As such, if SK is lucky enough to meet up with Trinity in the playoffs I fully expect a Trinity victory, yet again. Although I will give credit where credit is due and say that I would expect SK to score 2 TDs in that game.

 

Not that it really matters though since St.X will likely contain Miles Simpson (not shut down, but limit) in the playoffs and force SK to throw the ball.

 

 

"Never" is an awful strong word. Didn't Trinity lose to Dixie in the playoffs a few years ago?

Of course all of this speculation is based upon SK's severe beating of Ryle, which may have been partially one-sided due to the very poor weather conditions hurting Ryle's game plan more than SK's. Not that this is an excuse, its just fact. In the Ryle / SK game as soon as the rain stopped and the wind died down a bit Ryle scored 4 TDs and was matching SK even while Simpson ran wild in the 2nd half. All that being said, I like SK over Trinity this year. And if SK meets X in the semis they ought to move the game to PaPa's.

Quite true, and when playing Dixie I give them due respect which they have earned.

Once people started getting film on HC they realized that they just try to out formation teams to get to the edge. I know they do more than run outside but they are not very effective doing much else.

Don't know much about the Lexington area teams, but always seem to have a tough time against the Louisville teams in playoffs. When will be the day when they get over the hump?
