Eric Shaw is a very nic player for Lafayette, but you also need to contain the Johnson brothers-Marlon and William "Bubba". They ate HC'S lunch and dinner last week. I like BC 21-14.

 

I was more impressed with the Johnson kid that scored and was ejected from the Mercer County game. He may be the fastest back we face all year. He was very fast. Shaw had a quiet 140 yard game against Mercer, I just can't get it out of my head that I don't think he scored against Mercer, and that it is very hard to have an effective ground game against us.

 

#1. we looked better than Lafayette, IMO, when I got the chance to watch them play against a common opponent(Mercer County) of our.

 

#2. While we don't play Henry Clay this year, last year we demolished Henry Clay and we are just as good as or better than last year's team. Lafayette still only scored 12 points on Henry Clay. If they "ate HC's lunch", why did they only manage 12 points? It seems to me that you will need more than 12 points to defeat this year's version of Boyle County.

 

#3. Rees ran for 126 yards on Lafayette last year on 20 carries. I'd love to see what he does with 20 carries this year.:clap::popcorn:

I agree 92. If Lafayette ate HC's lunch than they should have scored more than 12 points. This years Rebels team is better than last years team. Our run defense, to me, is alot better than last years. Plus our rushing attack is alot better to.

 

I don't know if Lafayette has a good run defense or not. But I believe Rees will have a big rushing day again. They main think is to come out with another win.:dancingpa The big thing we want to see on Friday is Rebel in a suit. Those pictures should be good. :ylsuper::popcorn::clap:

I just got back from Lexington and bought me some new threads! I wanted a Black Suite with a Vegas Gold neck tie but the daughter didn't like that idea. For some reason I have to match her outfit. I did get my black jacket but ended up with 2 ties that she will choose later. (Grey/Black or Pink/Black). Sure hope she goes with the grey one! :isurrender: Any way I will have my jeans and hat close by to change really quick after the half.:clap:

64 I totaly agree with you. Boyle may not be able to move the chains as quickly, but IMO still can with the other backs they have. Right now Boyle has other options that I believe they have not shown yet, becasue simply they have not needed too so far. Boyle is far more than 1 player, even though most of the state believes they are.

Is this any different than Highlands with out Collinsworth, Ft. Cambell with out Andrews, LCA without Hayden, Bryan Station without McCaden, or even Flordia with out Tim Tebow. All good teams would not be the same with out their best player. Boyle is no different. I for one is glad that Rees puts on a Rebel uniform every game.

The only difference in the team is the amount of points we score. Our defense would still be the dominating, game setting force that it is. I don't care how many points we score, because I truly feel going into every game that the opposing team will not score more than us.

 

I look forward to seeing the team that does score more than us(2009), because that will be a great football team and a great game to watch.

Me too, and after watching him for the last 3 years, I'll be sad to see him leave. Great kid and a great player. I have truly enjoyed watching him grow over the last 3 years.
