I've seen both play this year, and both are pretty even IMO. Conner does have the edge in the kicking game, which could make a difference. However, this game will come down to whoever makes the fewest mistakes.

Going with Conner in a close one decided by 3 pts. or less. West is a winner, and I love how Trosper has righted the ship in Hebron. Conner must not beat themselves with turnovers and penalties, I think if they minimize both, they pull out a hard fought game.

I will say I won't put too much into the SOS factor. It makes for good discussion on here and I have been very critical of Conner's schedule but I don't think it makes that much of a difference. Jimmy's and Joe's.

Simon Kenton takes it. The two are pretty evenly matched IMO, but SK playing the tougher non-district schedule early in the year will pay off on Friday. That loss to HC helps the Pioneers more than it hurts them.

 

I'm wondering if the confidence gained by Conner playing "lesser" teams would offset the tougher schedule in this case? Conner's schedule allowed them to try different things to find what worked best for them and get in to game shape without risking injuries to their key players. In addition, the coach knew his team would be tested with their district schedule and still be ready for the playoffs.

 

Just a thought. I voted for Conner, but it wouldn't surprise me if SK won.

 

Should be a fun game to watch. If I wasn't going to a nationally televised game, I would have gone to this game.

As we saw in the week that Dixie played Sk, Dixie beat themselves,So i will say that if Conner can played mistake free and attack like they have on both sides of the ball,Its Champs night for 2 picks one for a touchdown and they will come out with a win Conner 31- SK 28.

Heard from a couple people that Marksberry has the SK boys all fired up about the loss and also heard that there was a little bulletin board material thrown in by a Conner player/coach(?). I haven't seen Conner play , but I think the Pioneers want to make a statement! SK by 21. You can't make the state finals without bringing it when it matters!!

Conner must be really good. I haven't seen either team play, but look at the schedules to this point, points scored and points allowed, and it looks as if Conner should win this game. I know thats why games are played on the field and not on paper, and its a district showdown, and SK has their Mr. Football candidate, but Conner has a lot to prove. I dont really see a lot of points scored, I expect a close game Conner 13 and SK 10.

Luckily SK has pretty much been injury free and that's always a positive heading into the real season.
