SK by 10, Simp will have a field day!!!

Conner must be really good. I haven't seen either team play, but look at the schedules to this point, points scored and points allowed, and it looks as if Conner should win this game. I know thats why games are played on the field and not on paper, and its a district showdown, and SK has their Mr. Football candidate, but Conner has a lot to prove. I dont really see a lot of points scored, I expect a close game Conner 13 and SK 10.

 

Both teams' offenses are much better than their defenses. I'd be very surprised to see a low scoring ball game. Conner's offense is comparable to Dixie's, and Dixie put up the points against SK (and could've put up much more). It should be a shootout.

It all depends on which defense shows up ready to play. The "bend don't break" defense of Conner will diffently need to step up to stop Simpson. SK's defense also has a big task of keeping West and his weapons under control. Whoever can stop the other teams "star" will win.

Either way, this will be a match between two of the best 6A teams in NKY. Northern Ky 6A should make a deep run into the playoffs this season. When you include Ryle into the mix, NKY 6A may be the most competitive region in the state just to make the playoffs.

Luckily SK has pretty much been injury free and that's always a positive heading into the real season.

 

I have been to all of S.K. games. Even though he has been the best player on the field, Simpson has been no way near 100% . I picked S.K. in this one becouse of home field. Can't wait for Friday!!!:jump:

If you consider round 3 (regional final) deep, then yes. However, that's about as far as NKY will make it this year. So far, I don't see a team that will be able to compete with St. X, which is this year's sister district/region.

SK takes it by 2 TD's, but the game will be closer with SK scoring late to preserve the win.

This game could go either way and will likely end up in the upper 30's to 40's for both teams. The only reason I'm saying Conner is because I picked them in the regional contest thread so I'm staying true to that. However I would not be shocked at all to see SK win. Either way it'll be an exciting game to watch with a lot of points. Hopefully the SK ground attack can outscore the Conner passing game.

Would guess this to be a close game, but IMO SK prevails.

Talked to a few of the players today, probably the most pumped up I've seen them this year or last year minus the State Champ. game. It's only Tuesday and it feels like they're ready to walk out on the field and just lay it all on the line and crush Conner. That loss to HC really got them going. Expect a very intense and emotional game.

Last year Ryle was 5 - 6 team. And after the Boone loss S.K. ran off a bunch of wins. I think one of them was Conner at Conner. :laugh:

Both of those wins were on last second plays, and they lost to SK later on in tournament play. Also that was one of Ryles worst seasons b/c there wasn't nearly as much leadership as usual.
