Who? Who has said that? Or is it merely the rhetorical "some," that mythical "they" out there whom noone can ever point to because they only exist in their own head? I've not ever heard anyone say that USC is THE best team, far and away, every single year. Noone has said that, you just hate USC and west coast teams in general, so you have your shining moment, your stage (which USC has made convenient for you for several seasons) by which you can bash them, so as I said, the rebuke is merited, please have at it.

 

USC has been a top 5 program every year for many years. They have beaten excellent teams from every conference during that span. They've also laid some duds, but your claim that the entire program is overrated is meritless, and I call you on it.

USC always loses that game to somebody they shouldn't and they usually can't climb back in the title picture because the Pac-10 is often underrated, IMO.

 

Teams like Florida, Texas, Oklahoma, etc., typically lose a game as well, but they have the perceived schedule strength to get back on top.

My question to you then is in this decade who would you say has had a better program? As I have said before I think the only team you can make a strong case for would be Florida. Other than that in this decade I don't know how you can't say that another program has been better than USC. So that makes no sense to me how you then could say that they are overrated as a program. When really only one team can make a legit argument at having a better program in this decade.

I'll get everyone going and say this: I wouldnt be surprised to see USC lose TWO more PAC 10 games. They just didnt impress me at all against Ohio St. I think Cal is the class of that conference. I also like UCLA...beating UT at Neyland is a tall order!

Who are you going to get going? I think most people on here have already agreed that USC is overrated this year. I was saying that after the OSU game. The thing that some of us is arguing is if USC is overrated as a program, which I say they are not.
