Are these kids getting hurt, hard workers in the off-season or are they show up in August kids?

My analysis from the game:

1) Frankfort High outplayed Franklin County in 2 of 3 phases of the game. FHS scored two special team touchdowns off of blocked punts, you'd think Frank Beamer was coaching them tonight.

2) FHS won the battle of field position

3) Stepp has no clue what he is doing. He cannot decide if he wants to run the flex motion or the spread. Stick with something and stay with it. In my opinion, this is the worst hire of all-time in FC athletics. He calls the same play time after time. After the game he just waved his players to the locker room without saying anything.

4) The pass interference call with around 2 minutes to go was a terrible call and the referees were talking back to FC fans.

5) Coach Foley and Coach Smith had the FHS boys ready and they deserved to win the game.

6.) Hats off to Jeremy Gardner, Kris Long and Wesley Watkins for battling through sickness and injuries. You three along with Goins are the leaders of the FC squad.

7.) The atmosphere seemed a bit down this year.

8.) Stepp needs to get the Timmons kid the ball more.

The interference call was absolutely correct. I was standing at the corner of the endzone within 10 yards of the play; the Franklin County player threw the Frankfort player to the ground. It was the only call he could make.

Is Leach only a Soph? Look like he could be something special. #27 Aaron??? ,He stepped it up this game also. I saw a lot of player’s young guys from Frankfort get in the game, nice to see the young getting live game reps in such a exciting atmosphere. I'm happy for the Panthers.:thumb::clap:

No, they are special teams scores. Again, congrats on the win. Flyer defense played great last night. Looks like Coach Sheridan has that side of the ball figured out.

The FHS passing game made an appearance last night again. QB Quinn was throwing some sharp passes. The short passing game is showing a lot of improvement. It just needs a little more consistancy

From my point of view, Frankfort High just had too much for The Flyers :thumb:

 

I would have hated to see a full healthy roster for the Panthers, example Weaver, Tillman, Mason this would could have gotten pretty ugly.

 

Special teams was awesome, along with The Panther defense, #27 Aaron Jackson IMO will be one of the best in his next 4 years as a Panther, the kid is absolutley amazing at Football and Basketball. 100% Speed and determination.

 

I think this has been probably one of the worse Franklin County Football teams I have seen in ages, even the 0-10 Flyers could have beat these Flyers......Coaching seems to be a little bit down, their offense will never win games, having Thompson play runningback, then 1 minunte Quarterback then next minute runningback.....Gardner is no QB and if Thompson was to stick to Quarterback the whole game, and him and Timmons hook up a couple of times this one might have been closer.

Congrats to FHS staff, all the adversity they have had and were able to attack the bigger school that has had their number! Now FHS gets it rolling through the district.

I completely agree with you TruB, Stepp has no idea what he is doing. On a another note with the leadership, the Flyers did not ride buses down to Bellepoint because no bus order was put in. Several truck tailgates full of players pulled in at numerous times. This is a safety hazard for sure. How are the kids supposed to get focused riding across town in a tailgate. FC fans are calling this the worst hire in their athletic history.

Everyone knows that Thacker is the worst football mind to ever coach in the Capital City Fishbowl. :idunno: I mean heck, the only reason he wins girls basketball games is because he has had tremendous talent and a very good coaching staff.
