Huge, and I mean huge trap game for Highlands. With all the talk that's been going on since the summer about the X game next week and with kids being kids, it's very possible that the kids aren't focusing enough on Boone Co. The coaches will do what they can to make sure that doesn't happen, but sometimes even with the best of coaches, it happens (think Bryan Station last year). I can assure you that Boone Co. is focusing on Highlands. Plus there is a lot of pride in the Boone Co. program. With last week's rather embarrassing loss for the Rebels, they are going to want to make a statement this week. Also, Boone runs a power runnng game offense. We've demonstrated some weakness against teams that like to run the ball. Add to that the fact that with X scouts likely to be in the stands, Dale isn't going to want to show much. I think Highlands will win, but it will be a narrower margin of victory than some are predicting.

 

Good call on a possible trap game. It would be tough to concentrate this week in practice knowing what lies on the horizon. Highlands will win, but you bring up strong points.

Birds' Homecoming game will not disappoint, everyone will be up for the home crowd. Good matchup pitting NKY's top running backs against each other. Birds' defense sees the challenges and is looking for its 2nd shutout. Birds' offense shifts into high-gear on their own turf.

After Ryle's first series, HHS proved they were more than capable of shutting down a good running game. Boone has a nice running game, but it is no better than Ryle's and they certainly don't have Ryle's passing game. Short of an HHS turnover giving very short field position, Boone will struggle to score IMO. HHS 45, Boone 7.

Should be an opportunity for the Birds to run their offence and light-up the board.

I'm sure after last week's loss Boone will have worked hard at practice all week. The score was bad but you have to remember they played Anderson. IMO if Highlands played Anderson the score would be in the 42-7 range. I watched Beechwood play both Highlands and Boone. I think this one will be closer than everyone thinks. Boone was up 21-3 at halftime when they put there backups in, and IMO if Boone would of played the entire game they would have scored 3 more. If Boone's defense gets it together they stand a chance

I'd be stunned if Highlands doesn't win this by at least 6 TDs after seeing Anderson put 63 up on Boone last week.

Really doesn't matter if the game is 7 or 7:30, get there at 6:30 and you will get a parking spot and enjoy a nice evening of football.:clap:
