USC 31 OSU 21

 

I'll take USC's frosh QB over Pryor already. Not because I think Barkley is great yet, I just don't think Pryor is that good. USC will rush for over 225 yds and take the pressure of the passing game.

This is old but it gets me fired up every year.

As Hearsay said, Barkley is a true Freshman. Being a coach, I would have done about the same as Pete Carroll and Johnny Morton did for Barkley in his opening game. I think he will be a little nervous at the outset, but, he will calm down and play well and USC wins 28-20.

I'm looking for a USC victory to help pad my pockets.

It's my favorite time of the football season. The Bucks play a ranked opponent from outside the Big 10 on National TV...and get absolutely blasted. I love this time of year.

Still waiting to hear about the adjustments at Safety and FB. FB play was terrible against Navy but OSU had two true freshman playing it. I really hope the freak Thad Gibson gets to introduce Barkley to Columbus.

Until Ohio State proves they can compete athletically with teams like USC, I can't pick them to do so.

 

Based on the past few years, I expect the Trojans to overwhelm the Buckeyes with their sheer talent and athleticism to win, regardless of experience.

OSU doesn't have the personel to stop USC's offensive attack.

Joe Mcknight has a big day. Pryor couldn't get the job done against Navy what makes people think he will against the likes of USC.

Ohio State has to prove they are for real. The USC loss a year ago, the Ohio game a year ago, and now the Navy game this season. We have to prove we belong, we are a top 5 team, and we can contend for the National Championship.

 

I honestly believe that the Buckeyes are a year away from being a top 1-3 contender for another National Title. They are very close, have added more speed and have more coming in next season. USC is as always under Carroll, very good and loaded with talented athletes. I don't think they are or will be as good as in previous years (that is still a very good team).

 

Yes, the Bucks looked bad vs. the Navy triple option, that imo is a very difficult offense to prepare for. When ran perfecly it is next to impossible to stop and there are not very many schools that run a true triple option attack and teams do not see it very often. Ga. Tech runs and imo will be a handful and then some this season bc they run it with "Athletes" where the military acadameys do not think "football/athletics first". Their players have different priorities and are not necessarrilly 5 star athletes :thumb:.

 

I may be wrong but imo Tressel probably did not spend the amount of time one may think on the Navy offense, Yes, he prepared for it but I would be willing to bet that most work this spring, summer and pre season was spent on the USC offense and defensive sytems. I can also just about promise that Tressel showed very little to nothing as to what he will run this week (and it almost cost him the game). I believe we will see a completely different Buckeye football team come Saturday night.

 

USC will be a very.very , very tough game (understatement of the century). I hope that the Buckeyes can somehow put everything togther and get the "W". I believe it would take an almost flawless game plan and execution of that plan on both sides of the ball and special teams.Can OSYU beat USC......yes, Will OSU beat USC........:idunno:(I am still working on my prediction).

That doesn't upset me at all. Why would it? :idunno: That is your opinion/prediction :thumb:.

USC by at least two TDs, they just run the ball too well and Ohio State had some issues stopping Navy's running game.
