I will say that Ashland and Johnson Central are approaching this season from 2 completely different directions. Johnson Central has lost to 3-0 Boyle County, 3-1 Bell County (whose only loss was to Alcoa TN), 2-1 Sheldon Clark, and some team from Mississippi. Ashland has won over 2-2 Greenup, 1-3 Raceland, 2-2 Belfry, and 2-2 Russell. Strength of schedule leans heavily towards Johnson Central, but Ashland has had a chance to build some confidence. Is it a false confidence? We'll find out this week when Ashland plays Ironton (OH).

You changed the argument. The question should be, "How would Boyle County and Bell County fair against Ashland?", and I dare say Ashland would do better against them then Johnson Central did. Win? I don't know, but better.

Ram you are really setting yourself up for possibly the biggest piece of crow, and some big time embarrassment the way you are carrying on. Yes Ashland is 4-0, and Johnson Central is 0-4, but as some have pointed out, they currently have the same district record. I guarantee you that Coach Matney and the Golden Eagles will be chomping at the bit when the Tomcats invade their turf in a few weeks. There is no way you can compare the two team's schedules up to this point. When Ashland plays Ironton next Friday they will be playing the quality of team that Johnson Central has played so far this season. We will get a much better reading on just how good this Tomcat team is by next Friday around 10 pm.

Come on westider, if a team plays a stronger schedule and loses by 40, can you really say they are better because the play a stronger schedule?

We covered it a little in the Ashland/Johnson Central thread, but I can take it, dish it out.

 

But, I still believe that my point was proven that Ashland is a lot better then they were last year. But, overall, I suppose I slightly missed the mark with Ashland winning the district, by the narrowest of margins.
