There are not many opinions on here that I respect more than Rams, but you might be making a mistake by calling this argument over before it gets started. YES JC lost to two of the best teams in the state by large margins, but they haven't lost a district game yet. I will go against the grain here and say that I agree with Leatherneck. I think when everything shakes out in the end JC will recover from this early season lesson and yes even win the district. There I said it and I ain't backing down. LOL

 

WOW. One think I love/hate about this site is that once you hit the post button you can't take it back, so after I hit the post button I'll go buy some barbecue sauce just in case I have to eat some crow in a few weeks, but at least Leatherneck will be dining with me...

Of course I will concede that Ashland has not won the district yet, and anything can happen with injuries and teenage boys, but you have to agree that Leatherneck said that he thought Johnson Central would be better then Ashland, and to this point, I don't think it is disputable that Ashland is better after three games. Now, anything can happen, but I'm sticking to my guns, Ashland will win their district.

 

Plus, Leatherneck doesn't get proven wrong often on here, and I am seizing the day.:lol:

I think it is. Ashland's schedule is in no way comparable to Johnson Central's. Ashland may win when they meet, but I don't think it's indisputable.

I didn't say Johnson Central was better, only that the gap between the two may not be nearly as large as some would be inclined to think.

 

How badly do you think Boyle County and Bell County, clearly the top two teams in 4A, would beat the likes of Greenup County and Raceland?

You changed the argument. The question should be, "How would Boyle County and Bell County fair against Ashland?", and I dare say Ashland would do better against them then Johnson Central did. Win? I don't know, but better.

I think Johnson Central would be at least 2-1 against Ashland's schedule. I'm not saying that they would beat Belfry, but apparently Ashland didn't get them by much.

 

The Ashland-Johnson Central game is what, 3-4 weeks away? Lots can happen between now and then. And Johnson Central's schedule the next 2-3 weeks will tell us a little more about them.

RAM posts a funny ribbing comment to Leatherneck pointing out something Leatherneck could "possibly" be proven wrong on then a bunch of people (me included) join the conversation and suddenly RAM (who is rarely wrong) is saying he is wrong and backing off of what was supposed to be just a fun ribbing comment.
