August 18, 201016 yr I've been plowing through a double volume of Nero Wolfe. Hearsay loves Nero Wolfe so, respecting Hearsay as I do, I thought I'd give the old chap a try. UGH....I can't wait to finish! I'm near the end of "The League of Frightened Men". The first was "Fleur de Lis".

August 18, 201016 yr I am currently reading The Unlikely Discliple: A Sinner's Semester at America's Holiest University. So far, I am about half-way through and it is an awesome read! It is a personal account of a student from a traditionally liberal university going to Liberty University for a semester. When I enrolled in Liberty's online M.Ed. program for their guidance counseling program, I had to get this book to see if I could identify with the author's sentiments. Albeit it, his experiences as a resident student are far different from mine as a distance learning student.
August 24, 201016 yr The Millenium Trilogy By Stieg Larsson -"The Girl with the Dragon Tatoo " , " The Girl who Played with Fire " finished both of those in a week and a half bought " The Girl Who Kicked The Hornets Nest " this morning . The series is highly addictive and it is too bad that the author is deceased . August 24, 201016 yr Just finished The Rising Tide by Jeff Shaara. Great WWII book. Gotta love a book were Eisenhower, Patton, Clark, and Roemmel are among the main characters. Getting ready to start Kingmakers: The Invention of the Modern Middle East by Karl E Meyer & Shareen Blair Brysac. Looking forward to this one. For fun, I'm reading Dirty Laundry by Troi Carrington. Sometimes...I just need to read for fun. :lol: Have you read any of Shaara's other books, RM? I just recently read them all in about 3-4 months. I think there's 10 including his father's book about Gettysburg, The Killer Angels.
August 24, 201016 yr How did you like "The Pillars of the Earth"? I absolutely LOVED it! I hated to see it end! Another excellent book. I also read the sequel "World Without End". Also great. I'd recommend it if you haven't read it already.
