September 1, 200917 yr Flynn and Ty Lawson. As I said from the time they drafted him, the reason they drafted Flynn. Rubio wanted a big market team and he got a Minnesota. It was also uncertain the Wolves would pay his Euro team the money to get him out, so as I have thought all along, they simply drafted his rights. However, they still have two guys who should be able to play NBA minutes.

The Wolves aren't going anywhere fast, so now both Flynn and Rubio will be able to get max minutes. A 19 yr old Rubio will be a better rookie in the NBA than an 18 Rubio.

I think something needs to be done about that by the NBA. Give Rubio a ban of some sort (2-3 years) because he basically makes that pick non-existent by not coming, when he has the opportunity. Didn't this happen to a Chinese player the year before too? Sorry that is wrong. The Wolves can only pay $500,000 of the buy out overseas. Next year his contract will be up. It makes a lot of sense for him.
September 1, 200917 yr I think it makes the Wolves look really bad. They traded for a pick, took on a lot of salary from the Wizards for a player they didn't even sign........can't see how that was a good thing.
