August 26, 200917 yr Apparently Louisville KY uses google to search for obscene/pornographic material more than any other city.:lol::lol: http://www.businessinsider.com/2008/6/google-louisville-ky-is-the-most-obscene-city-in-the-u-s-
August 26, 200917 yr Ironically, in the mid 90's Lexington lead the country in "1-900" calls. Common denominator???
August 26, 200917 yr You know I was going to post something clever here. In the end though I think it just speaks for itself.
August 26, 200917 yr The talk about pornography is misleading. The rankings were based only on cities that searched more for the "seven dirty words" after Google converted it to % of population, not just pure number of searches. Here's how we got there: We used George Carlin's (R.I.P.) "Seven Dirty Words" as obscenity proxies, and looked up each of them on Google Trends. We restricted the results to the United States, and noted the top 10 cities querying each of the seven words. Top scores went to cities that showed up on multiple lists; to break ties, we assigned weight values depending on a city's rank on individual lists. Note that Google weights its own results to account for population: The cities listed above showed the greatest percentage of searchers looking for dirty words, not the greatest number of people.
August 26, 200917 yr Isn't there a whole lot of people who work in Louisville but live in Indiana. :sssh: Maybe they are bumping up the #'s while peaking at work. :thumb:
August 26, 200917 yr They should just hang out at Italian restaurants in Louisville and they can watch it live.
