Clyde Posted August 16, 2009 Posted August 16, 2009 If the typing of this post goes astray its due to my food-induced coma as a result of my first trip to a Brazilian steak house. Wow. Too much food. Anyone?
Birdsfan Posted August 16, 2009 Posted August 16, 2009 Where is it located? The steakhouse, that is, not the food you ate.
75center Posted August 16, 2009 Posted August 16, 2009 Never heard of it but it sounds like it's right up my alley.
Royal Uncle Posted August 16, 2009 Posted August 16, 2009 Ate at one in Oklahoma City once. It was great.
Theoldguy Posted August 16, 2009 Posted August 16, 2009 If the typing of this post goes astray its due to my food-induced coma as a result of my first trip to a Brazilian steak house. Wow. Too much food. Anyone? Hope you didn't have to pay for it, as I have heard the food is great, but so is the price. :notworthy::thumb: Or did you do the Cincinnati Restaurant week thing? So what was the best part of the dinner? Brazilian steak house
Jumpman4004 Posted August 16, 2009 Posted August 16, 2009 I have been to Boi Na Braza twice in downtown Cincinnati, both for special occasions and I loved it... but the price does make you go
ColonelCrazy Posted August 16, 2009 Posted August 16, 2009 How much is a steak there? How does it compare to Ruby's? Both in terms of quality & price.
letabrotherspeak Posted August 16, 2009 Posted August 16, 2009 If you went to the Boi Na Braza in Cincy, you need to get your heart checked out. Food is plentiful and outstanding....but expensive. They have a great salad bar to boot, but who wants salad when they are bringing meat on sticks forever.
NEERFAN Posted August 16, 2009 Posted August 16, 2009 I've wanted to eat at Boi Na Braza ever since I took my first flight as an employee for Delta. I would always read the in flight mags on the flights and they always had an add for the place. I just don't know how much I'd be out after the meal.
Jim Schue Posted August 16, 2009 Posted August 16, 2009 I'd be curious to know how some of you define "expensive." For me, $20 is expensive, but that's mainly because I know that for 1/4 that price I can do one up on my grill just as tasty, and almost always better.
SHS Future Posted August 16, 2009 Posted August 16, 2009 Saw one on the travel channel in L.A. Looks awesome!!
Clyde Posted August 16, 2009 Author Posted August 16, 2009 To me its a one-time gig. Way too much food and you feel nasty 2 hours later. However, the meat was delicious. The sirloin (top and bottom) was yummy. JS - its $50. That's part of the problem. You feel like you have to eat a lot to "get your money's worth" so you end up eating way too much. Plus its served in small portions so you feel like you're not eating a lot - until later. CC - they bring around 15 different types of entrees on a big stick that just came out of the oven. You can decline it or accept it. I declined lamb for example. Not my cup of tea. However when the sirloin guy came around .....
Beechwoodfan Posted August 16, 2009 Posted August 16, 2009 I'd be curious to know how some of you define "expensive." For me, $20 is expensive, but that's mainly because I know that for 1/4 that price I can do one up on my grill just as tasty, and almost always better. The last time I was there it was $50.00 per person, but that was a couple of years ago. You cant really do this on your grill though. The concept is a great one. A salad bar filled with all kinds of things. Each diner has a card by his/her plate. When you are done with the salads, you turn the card over to green. It signals the waiters that you are ready for "meat fest." The waiters have different types of meat on skewers and you get your choice of any and all. Different cuts of steak, lamb, chicken, etc. They keep it all coming. It was alot of fun. Given the price and the "all you can eat" concept, I would recommend that you starve yourself all day before going.
ColonelCrazy Posted August 16, 2009 Posted August 16, 2009 I'm not a salad guy so my card would be green as soon as we sat down. I feel confident I can get my money worth for $50. I also feel confident that it won't be my idea to go there.
