August 9, 200917 yr I think that last line is one we don't think about much. These guys have great lives money wise and playing the game the love. Moves like this is tough on kids!

Is there anyone a little more familiar with the situation who might could speak to that? I would be absolutely shocked & thrilled if JJ Hardy was the player we got in return for David Weathers. I'd imagine the player will be a mid to upper level prospect. I, like many, was easily frustrated with Weathers. But the fact remains that he's a quality reliever & a true professional, both on & off the field. I hate to see a guy go who truly wanted to be here, but it's a business. Regardless of who we get in exchange, I think this trade will improve the Reds' future. I think it also shows the confidence that the organization has in Nick Masset & (gulp) Jared Burton.
