August 10, 200917 yr Is this just a regular level sin for a guy that has been pumping the Jesus card since he got a sniff at a 2nd chance? Some early 20's randoms sucking shots out of every "unmentionable" place while the beyond loyal wife and family that has bought the lies a long way away and thinking things are finally back on track? I'm 100% certain this isn't his first and will not be his last relapse. This time he simply got caught. If you are OK with that as the "nature of any Christian sinner" fine. I think he's a bag of lies that was bought by those looking for the rare feel good story in the wrong place... Thank you! You're far more talented in a war of words than I! But thats the point I was trying to get across:thumb:

August 10, 200917 yr I love how he used Baseball as reason for the relapse too. Sounds like he's just looking for anyone, anything to blame other than himself...
August 10, 200917 yr Hate to see this, but Like i have always said, you can never fully trust an addict. Im guessing Texas didnt assign him a full time babysitter like Cincy did?
August 10, 200917 yr  And here they come with their bible verses.... Find anywhere in this thread where anyone said all:rolleyes: :thumb: How many times does he have to screw up before people finally realize it's all an act? My only reason for the original post was that his constant talking points make every Christian look bad when he screws up. Mustang, Rocket, I'm actually on your guys side on this.

Mustang, Rocket, I'm actually on your guys side on this. :thumb: I'm a Christian as well, I know I make plenty of mistakes, I like to think that I'll never make mistakes on the level this guy has, but I just can't stand the "look at me , I'm a Christian!" types who are into more no good than those that don't make a Public Service Announcment everytime they do something for the Church. I get so irked at the ones that are sure to let everyone know they are Praying for everyone and let everyone know all the great deeds they've done that week for the Church etc, knowing they are having an active affair on their spouse, stuff like that.

Curious, do you feel the same about Kurt Warner who shares his faith as often as he can, and more often than Hamilton IMO?
August 10, 200917 yr Curious, do you feel the same about Kurt Warner who shares his faith as often as he can, and more often than Hamilton IMO? I can't speak for Rocket, but while I get sick of hearing about it all the time from guys like Warner, Tebow, etc., they at least seem to live the life they claim too. While it's annoying at times, I can respect them for that. When have we ever seen Warner or Tebow doing body shots off half-naked girls?
August 10, 200917 yr Curious, do you feel the same about Kurt Warner who shares his faith as often as he can, and more often than Hamilton IMO? I'm fine with Warner and Tebow doing it until pictures surface of them licking whip cream off the surgically inhanced chest of some bar skanks, while their wife and kids sit at home.

But Tebow and Warner use the same platform, yet you tend to lump them in together. Frankly I think it's refreshing that they profess their faith like they do. As for Hamilton, who am I to judge? Obviously he just killed his witness. I'm curious how he portrays himself at his next public interview.

I'm pretty sure we made ourselves clear that we are ok with it until we see them licking whip cream off bar flies while their wife and kids are at home.:idunno:
August 10, 200917 yr Some may want to check out the Bible and see who Jesus hung out with. Prostitutes, adulteress, liars, drunks, criminals, tax collectors. He hardly ever hung out in what at that time would be equilivant to our church. Seriously...was he throwing down shots and hitting on women? What gospel account is that story in? Your statement, while correct, isn't applicable to Josh Hamilton, IMO.
August 10, 200917 yr http://bleacherreport.com/articles/233218-what-if-josh-hamilton-were-black Josh Hamilton is a crack-addicted drunkard. A big deal was made in 2008 about his "journey to hell and back," the "demons" on his shoulder, and how he had found Jesus and that his previous life was forever behind him. There have been rumors that, especially while playing for Cincinnati, he was not popular in the clubhouse. The outspoken Brandon Phillips (a dark-skinned black man) who also came from a great family and could easily be described as an all-American kid (of course only if he was born white) was rumored to have openly asked why Hamilton received special treatment. His ability to hit a baseball is the only thing that separates Hamilton from the worlds of millions of other drug addicts. And it is not so much that he fell off the wagon—more the fashion which it happened. When did it become acceptable for a self-professed man of faith to eat whipped cream off another woman's breasts? Every white person who believes Hamilton deserves another shot—go look in the mirror and imagine yourself as a black man with a crack pipe dangling from your mouth. If people want to get on him because of his relapse, or multiple relapses, fine. If people want to call him a fake or phony, fine. However, this article is pure, unadulterated crap. There's a reason bloggers aren't taken seriously. It's clowns like this guy.
