So ... what do you see the Rangers dealing for Arroyo? This should be interesting ... They are the deepest MLB team at catcher. They are very deep at first base. They have a top prospect named Smoak coming up next year to play first. They can play Blaylock or Chris Davis at third to make room for Smoak. Andrus is clearly the SS of the future making Michael Young trade bait but he isn't going to warrent much. They are also relatively deep at OF once Hamilton comes back. Remember they placed Cruz on waivers and he cleared and they got him back. Not a big secret they are all hitting and limited pitching.

June 30, 200917 yr Again, who could the Reds get for Arroyo? That's the million dollar question. I would trade Arroyo for a decent bat in a heartbeat. The problem is that's not going to happen one-to-one. I'm leery about giving up anybody else, especially at this juncture in the season. If Arroyo has a few good starts, his stock may rise. Other than that, we could potentially trade Arthur Rhodes and/or David Weathers. Problem is that we'd then be relying on Roenicke & other youngsters with little to no experience during our playoff push.

June 30, 200917 yr Joey Votto, Ryan Hanigan, Jonny Gomes, Jay Bruce, Chris Dickerson and Jerry Hairston all see more than 3.89 pitches per AB. That's 6 players in the top 80....granted some of them may not qualify Edwin Encarnacion was right at 4 pitches per AB before he got hurt I'm not doubting you, but do you know where I can see those numbers? I'm especially surprised about Dickerson and Hairston.
