Alas, budgetary concerns … But I trust FKYW's judgment. He's shown himself to have pretty good taste. Great album.

Top priorities include: "Maggot Brain" by Funkadelic "Mothership Connection" by Parliament "Middle Cyclone" by Neko Case (if it ever gets released :irked: ) The entire Gomez catalogue. "Blackberry Belle" by Twilight Singers "Blood Sugar Sex Magik" by Red Hot Chili Peppers "Townes" by Steve Earle "Guitar Town" by Steve Earle But moving up to the top of the list after last night's concert is: "Midnight At The Movies" by Justin Townes Earle
July 10, 200917 yr Been listening to a lot of Blind Melon lately. Real good early to mid 90's band that gets overlooked. Most people know their song "No Rain" and that's about it. However they are a lot more than that and they have a very nice sound with a lot of passion and soul behind the music. Like most bands of the era lead vocalist Shannon Hoon passed away at around the peak of the band's success. Some songs of their's I recommend for those who may be interested are "Blister In The Sun", "Change", "Time", "I wonder", and most likely my favorite, "Walk". Is Blister in the Sun a remake of the Violent Femmes classic? I can't have that. There is no Blister in the Sun if it isn't the Violent Femmes.:taz:

Townes is a great release. Midnight At The Movies is my favorite of '09 so far.
