June 18, 200917 yr Okay, I'll admit my post was in poor taste. And it doesn't represent my true feelings. I just get a bit aggravated at times when I read and hear what our law enforcement officials have to deal with; however, I didn't illustrate my frustration very well. Can I come out of my room now?:isurrender: No.
June 18, 200917 yr I think your comments are really insensitive. Most of these people are mentally ill and/or depressed and they have no one to turn to or to help them. They need our compassion and a gentle hand. Yesterday was truly a success. :thumb:
June 18, 200917 yr Letterman is in here with me. He said to tell you "hi". :laugh:That bought your way out IMO.
June 18, 200917 yr Good to know we have a hero among us!!! :thumb: If I were disturbed enough to consider jumping off a bridge, I would hope someone like that would be willing to pull me back!
June 18, 200917 yr Can I come out of my room now?:surrender:You just stay in there the rest of the day and think about what you've done! :irked: Seriously though, Guru is right. Sometimes, people who are otherwise perfectly normal, and have a lot of potential left in their lives, come to a point where they feel they have no alternative. Everything looks hopeless and they feel they have nowhere to turn. But then someone, or some turn of events, stops them from making a terrible choice, and changes their outlook on life completely. So it's a great thing that people like that get help, and are given a second chance at life. :thumb:

I can tell you in the last year, we have had more and more "normal" people pushed to the point of being suicidal. It can happen to anyone.
