Obviously so. I don't think you're as surprised as you're making out to be. My guess is if this were an election year we might see her on Letterman at some point.

His "comments" were classless and over the line, as was his "apology".. Way worse than the Don Imus issue and he was fired...

 

 

I believe the major difference here was that most conservatives believed that Imus crossed the line and did not defend his comments, but a few his job. I see many defending Lettermans' comment here.

That would be about how many are left in Washington, that's for sure!

In the circle of people that I know, conservatives outnumber liberals and moderates at least 10:1.

Probably partially geographic, but partially revealing of a lot of America as well. This country is full of people who would like to keep government as small as possible (even some of BGP's so-called liberals want to keep government as small as it can be, while providing certain functions).

 

Problem is, "conservatives" are not well-represented in DC. The root of the problem, however, is that these conservative voters continue to elect candidates who do NOT reflect their values in DC, instead just choosing anyone with an R. The candidates realize that as long as they have an R, they will get the votes from those who prefer limited government, despite the fact that these politicians spend limitlessly.
