This is what I stated previously in this thread. I never spoke of an "explosion" yet you quoted me with a "believe what you want to believe" type of response. I guess I'm confused about what the disagreement even was.

 

I was disagreeing with someone else's premise that the towers falling on 9/11 was the result of explosions. I believe that your comment was something along the line of "what does it matter?" My comment at that point was such that "the truth always matters. Inaccuracies shouldn't be promoted."

 

I was then asked (by you and another poster) to explain what happened to cause the collapse of the buildings.

Nothing was blown up on 9/11. Planes were hijacked planes and flown into buildings.

Do you mean the corner on the market of attacks? And, in the US? Or world wide? Or do you mean number of vitims? And again, globally, or in the US?

Let's take a look at how this whole "bomb" thing started today.

 

 

The attack on the trade center in 1993 did include explosives. However, these explosives weren't enough to bring down the building.

 

The attack on 9/11 did not include explosives. The steel that failed (which led to the collapse of the buildings) was a result of high temperatures due to the combustion of the jet fuel. From a chemical standpoint, combustion is not the same as explosion.

 

If you want to call the burning of the fuel a type of "explosion" then you will get no further argument from me. The buildings fell to structural damage due to the fires, however, not as a result of explosives.

 

I am not disagreeing with you on the part about the fuel burning (ie...combustion) and the intense heat bringing down the buildings because that is exactly what happened. But answer this question, what happened when the airplanes hit the buildings? What I saw was the planes explode. I really can't think of another way to put it, they exploded. I really haven't been trying to be difficult but as I have stated earlier 2+2=4, the planes hit the buildings and exploded.

So much that I cannot believe there isn't an impeachment pending. Absolutely just astonishing that he said these things. Our founding fathers are rolling over and attempting to stand up in their grave.

 

Not enough Republicans to even consider an impeachment hearing. The senate and congress and too busy trying to find persons from the Bush administration to prosecute.

 

I am truly surprised by these comments. What he appears to be trying to do is, in certain ways, sort of slick. Convince the muslim world that we are their ally and then it is harder to recruit militant muslims for terroristic activity. But denying who we still are as a nation is a bit shocking.

I didn't know it was such a touchy subject.

When I say we are a christian nation I am saying this country was founded and built on the principle of in God We Trust. It was not built on in Buddha or Allah we trust. What makes are country so great is that we have freedom of simple liberties. But what has upset many is that their is so many people trying to take God out of a country that was built on a Godly foundation. Seperation of church and state was inspired to keep the church from running the state government not to run God out of our country. I trulely believe if our country is going to remain as the greatest in the world our nations leaders need to have a strong faith in God Almighty. If we turn from God we will evetually feel his wrath, there are so many examples of this through history. However, this is my opinion and my beliefs, I am not in anyway trying to force anyone to believe the same. I just think in to many cases there is no one who speaks up for christianity and since Jesus Christ paid such a heavy price for me I try to stand up for him whenever possible. Just remember Jesus will return to rule this world and who is going to tell him that there has to be a seperation of church and state? Just a thought!

You can certainly quote scripture as your source. However, I think PepRock is interested in examples of post-biblical history.
