Maybe I misunderstood your meaning of the first post above. I took it to mean the majority of share of acts. If you meant number of victims then you would be correct.

Nothing was blown up on 9/11. Planes were hijacked planes and flown into buildings.

In God We Trust was a lie. Many founding fathers could care less, look at Jefferson who was an atheist. Christian Nation? Most of our founding fathers believed in a Protestant, White Anglo Nation. Religious freedom has nothing to do with the start of American, IMO. Well it sort of does, but it was a rallying cry to unite the people against England.

 

Constitutionally we are granted freedom of religion and we have no national religion. In God WE Trust, but whose God is it? You know since Muslims and Christians don't worship God in the same way they both can't be right can they?

 

We are not a christian nation anymore than we are a Muslim nation, a Jewish nation, a Buddhist nation or any other religion.

 

 

 

Well you can want the president to be christian all you want, but what does it really matter? I don't care if the president is a satanist or a scientologist as long as he can do the right things for our country. Just because someone proclaims to follow God/Jesus/Buddha or whoever doesn't mean they have the nations best interest at heart.

 

 

 

Great first part of the post, I have to disagree with the second part though. Until 1930 or so it really wasn't that easy to be in America if you weren't protestant and white. Minorities, Catholics, other religions faced a lot of prejudice and discrimination.

Actually Allah and God are the same person so okay. And who is to make the decision. Do we vote as a country. What religion are we? Because you can't just be a christian nation...that would be too simple. Are we a Methodist nation, a Baptist Nation, a Catholic Nation? Because if other non-christian religions aren't right, which branch of Christianity is?

 

Don't get me wrong I love God and Jesus, but I'm not about to tell someone what they have to believe in. I'm not going to say that we should discriminate in picking our president if he doesn't match our religious beliefs. This world is just destined to destroy itself. Something is always dividing people or creating hate. Whether it be the battle for land, gold, freedom of religion, race, gender, sexual orientation, whatever we will always find a way to never quite coexist peacefully. In all likelihood we will as a people destroy america before God turns his back on us.

 

I don't try to force people to be christian either. I have never knocked on anyones door and tried to convert them. I just try to be a positive christian influence and speak of Jesus to anyone who will listen or in BGP's case read. I respect that you and everyone else has a right to their opinion (even if it's wrong) and everyone has a right to worship in any fashion they desire. Faith is what makes people worship the God they worship and The word of God says the only way to the Father is through the Son. Someone once asked me "what if there is no heaven and hell God and Satan", "you would have lived your life this way for nothing". I responded that it would mean I have lived a great life respecting others and loving my family and would have no regrets and then I asked him, what if I am right and God exists and there is a heaven and hell and you have not lived the life of a christian and have not accepted Jesus as your savior? Will you have any regrets? As I said it is all about faith!

When you here the word terroist it automatically makes one think of someone from the middle-east. There is a reason for that. When people say Muslims it makes one think of people from the middle-east. I think we all know that not all people from the middle-east is Muslim. So, i will change the statement, people from the middle-east have cornered the market on terroism and when you say terroist you think of Iran, or Iraq or Afganistan and al-Qaeda ect.....that is not to say they are the only terroist in the world just the ones you think of when you say terroism. I respect everyone's religion. I just think that saying shouldn't be president based on their religious beliefs is wrong. I mean don't get me wrong, I wouldn't be surprised if it happened. Do you think people knew Jefferson was an athiest when he ran for office?

 

With the bolded part are you saying that other religions are wrong, or that they may be wrong? Honestly, we will never know until we die. Please clear that up for me because to me it doesn't sound like you respect any religion besides christianity.

 

I'm not sticking up for one religion, I'm sticking up for them all. Why? I don't think any one religion is completely right. Not one. Written down by man, corrupted by man.

 

I believe that their is one god. I believe that there is a place we can go when we die, heaven if you must. I believe that to get there you have to accept god and live as best you can. I believe that even if Jesus wasn't the son of god (i think he was btw) that he made a great sacrifice in the name of God and humanity. That is the only way I can truely be happy. I worry about myself and my family and go on with it. If our president wants to worship any other way that is fine with me.

Or a good area for you, they did explode and the shock of the explosion added to the heat of the entensive fire caused the buildings to collapse. I view that as blowing up the buildings. What station were you watching?
